Fun fact but based on concept art Joseph was originally going to have much more glitchy/staticky effects and animations! I understand why they didn't go with it as Joseph's 18th century aesthetic would likely clash with the somewhat modern glitchy effects but it's still cool <3

My interpretation of DM's personality is that he's basically what Joseph would've been like had his experiments been successful? While Joseph IS arrogant I feel as if his failures curb a lot of his pride whereas with DM his plans all work so he's way more overtly prideful 🧐

I think the most interesting/tragic thing about Joseph is that he was never even a malicious person? He trapped souls because he GENUINELY believed that he was saving them and a combination of his fear of death+arrogance prevented him from realizing that he was harming people..

Colada Morada is an Ecuadorian drink heavily tied to death that originated from the indigenous ceremony Aya Marcay Quilla (month of carrying the dead) but it's now typically drunk on All Soul's Day, a Christian holiday commemorating the dead.. a very fitting drink for Joseph <3

Honestly DM was such a blessing for Joseph enjoyers 😭 Joseph himself has almost zero lore and barely appears in events so it's nice that we have DM in the Truth and Inference universe as a reoccurring character and overarching antagonist to keep us fed <3
