Just a gentle reminder that these race horse trainers train the horses for the owners, not the punters. If you disagree with it & don’t like it, then tough. I’ve seen so much moaning about trainers not doing what punters want lately and it’s so boring to see. They don’t owe you

Holy moley, Freddie only went and won the in hand championship this morning after winning both his retrained racehorse and hunter/hack/riding horse classes! He was foot perfect in the heat and with the biting flies, didn’t put a foot wrong and floated around the ring. On cloud 9

Why are people kicking up a fuss that Tizzard is rehoming horses for £500, with injuries and likely cant race anymore. Affords people with smaller budgets but big hearts the opportunity to buy one as a project and their forever horse? They'll likely vet the home & get references?

Just seen on Bryony's insta that LilRockerfella is out herding sheep this morning,he's in the Stayer Hurdle tomorrow. Honestly,variety is the spice of life for these horses. Do different stuff with them,take them jumping over xc fences, hunt them etc. Change is good for the mind

I have such time for Gordon Elliot, I met him when doing Hospitality at Tattersalls and made him lunch. He asked me if I rode and had horses and was genuinely interested in my Fred and my RoR work. Such a nice man and so were his team. All the more success to him imo!

Fred and I did our first team chase today over the Essex & Suffolk course in Semer. I was quite nervous as it was a full up meaty 90 novice but he flew everything no problem and really found his stride! Proud of the big kid. He’s the big bay on the inside with white nose band

Seen an article about a men suing a dog owner after he chased a horse, run under it causing the horse to spook, buck & fell saying ‘it’s just one of those things’! Not it bloody isn’t, a dog should be on a lead if you cannot recall it. The poor man suffered a severe spinal injury

Good Grand National that; they kept spread out, the start was good, a faller but most were unseated jockeys as opposed to horse falls. I for once didn’t watch it through gritted teeth and clasped hands!

Only went and won the in hand thoroughbred class 🎉! Vancouverite aka Vinny was a star and I was over the moon & to beat some lovely horses. Mainly just glad to help a friend out who’s in a lot of pain due to a pinched nerve so can’t walk/run! Smashing way to end a good weekend!

Fence judging drama 😂 rider falls off at the water, horse looses bridle and goes off at a canter for a jolly, then chief steward whizzes over in his car, jumps out to catch pony and forgets to put handbrake on.. cue car starting to roll away! It was like watching a carry on!
