@KulkarniK9668 @LiveLawIndia It happens very commonly. Only few judges have the guts to confront the police's incompetency and they don't do it that often so yes, keeping an accused in jail for 2-3 weeks is as common as sunrise, ALL OVER INDIA.

@mallucomrade Naturally speaking, Judges tend to willfully drag such cases which are at the centre of a controversy bcos it brings them publicity. It has less to do with the religion and more to do with the traction that a case is garnering. All this forms as a part of that judge's CV.

It has been one month since the most tragic incident of my life. To say that uneasiness and anxiety has left me entirely would be false. However, staying with my family for a month has actually been therapeutic. Wishing a lot of strength to the bereaved families.
