Just realized today marks 11 years since I knew I was HIV+
I was only 18 for not even two months when I found out.
But glory to God for modern medicine and an amazing support system.
Hereโs to many more ๐ฅ
I created that 200lb+ thread because:
1. Thick men are sexy af
2. I wanted to create a space for people to be confident and sexy and show off their bodies
I honestly didnโt think it would become a thread because only like 20 of yโall talk to me on the daily. But Iโm happy
Because of HIV Iโve been able to:
โข Lead local workshops
โข Create local LGBTQ events based on community
โข Be the youngest person on a statewide commission
โข Help build youth programming at the countryโs largest HIV/AIDS conference
โข Volunteer in Honduras at an HIV orphanage
Day 1 of the transformation ๐ค
If any NYC mutuals wanna workout, lemme know! ๐ช๐ฝ
I have a Blink membership and can bring a guest for free too ๐
Today marks 3 weeks since my stroke ๐ฅน It seems like a lifetime!
Since my stroke Iโve:
โข was admitted for 5 days
โข moved back home
โข left my stressful job
โข accepted a new job
โข started physical therapy
โข healthy blood pressure
โข remained grateful and patient ๐ฅฒ
Hereโs your daily reminder that being HIV-negative is NOT synonymous with being โcleanโ & living with HIV is NOT synonymous with being โdirtyโ.
UConn is allowing on-campus apartments students to stay during spring break and access dining halls FOR FREE. You just have to register that you'll be on campus, should've received a link earlier today!
Spread the word!
Iโm finally home from the hospital โค๏ธ
Doctors are amazed I regained control over my body. Iโll be out of work for a while as I recover with the neurologist and physical therapist.
Iโm grateful to be alive and doing alright โค๏ธ
Imagine 3 years from now:
*Youโre in the best shape.
*Happier than you ever have.
*Business is thriving.
*Opened your studio.
*Dating your favorite person.
*Things are in alignment.
*You feel safe in it all.
Make it happen. Donโt just dream. Do.
Thank you for the well wishes.
The part of my brain that controls movement was slightly damaged due to bleeding. The bleeder then caused a stroke.
Will need physical therapy, but will eventually make a full recovery.
My speech therapy is improving slowly but surely.
