Our friend just got gorgeously married in her 40s, and we, her friends, were her flower girls. Our journey, which started out as a prayer group, has metamorphosed into a deep sisterhood through which we impact ourselves not only spiritually, but also in career and business.
I have a friend who dines at a good restaurant monthly after her salary is paid. Her mantra is: “I have put in the efforts this month, I deserve the treat”. Yours may not be food, but please don’t forget to truly care for “yourself” frequently. Do the work, reward the worker.
I withhold a % of my househelp’s salary every month as her savings. So today she got Sal. for Dec.+ Savings for 11 months+ Madam’s extra. Guess who’s Buga-ing her way to her village today? Aunty is giving some bad sunshades with some thick eyebrows. Love to see her happy & proud.

N200k salary in 2015 is worth more than N400k in 2020. That salary or business income increase hasn’t really translated to more wealth, because of inflation & devaluation. More pathetic for those who haven’t received salary increase since then. It’s a lot to deal with in Nigeria.
My Mum clocks 70 today here are 7 ways she influenced me:
1. She got my ICAN forms for me when I was 13 and kept it in her wardrobe for 7 years till I registered and qualified 19 years ago.
2. She modeled multiple sources of Income to me: Secretary, Caterer, Trader,Transporter..
The office cleaner/assistant, who works for a company I consult for, hitched a ride with me earlier today.
She said, "Thank you, Ma, for everything. A few years ago, you put in a word for me to get a loan at work, with which my husband and I bought a bus. I am glad to let you

Set your own goals.
Interact with your own figures.
Work out a budget that works for you.

There’s nothing such as “..too old to...”, because joy doesn't discriminate. When it comes, it’s full and fulfilling. And while this post is to share in the joy of the couple, and to pray the same for everyone trusting for a life partner, it is also a reminder about stewardship.
Never be under pressure to divulge to the public what is private.
Never be pressured to explain your choices to the world.
By so doing, you wouldn't need to explain & justify your actions.
You do well, you irritate some & instigate envy.
You "don't do well”, they castigate.
So?
I got almost all my professional qualifications; FCA, FCCA, MBA, CPA while “waiting”. Waiting doesn’t mean idle.
Waiting means you are actively doing what your hands find to do until you find your sweet spot—where your ambition, passion, and strength are all in alignment.
@SolaAdesakin
It is also important to note that you were not sitting Idle all those 15 years
You had access to information and kept on to self development awaiting the big opportunities.
Even if it may not be the part you want, you were engaged in something productive.
I won't rest!!!
People wouldn’t pay you for you to self-develop yourself, but they would pay anything for the finished product, refined version of you.
It’s nobody’s business how you develop and execute your growth plan, but when you do grow, people will pay. Be your own Sponsor.
Keep Growing.
Your Expenses do not have to rise as your Income rises. But there’s always one little voice in your head that tells you how unbefitting your car is, how small your apartment is & how old your outfits have become.
Don’t succumb to lifestyle creep,

Please show your children the soft side of life when you can afford it. Not every time "there’s no money." When you get your financial breaks, give them a treat, and don’t forget to teach them from the learning moments of your financial seasons.
When you add value to people, money will come. When you add financial intelligence to money, wealth will come. When you add empathy to wealth, impact and influence are multiplied. Where there’s impact and influence, legacy tags along.

My Mindset Changed.
Being able to “admire” without having to “acquire” is one of the toughest lessons in the financial discipline module. The ability to ignore, even when you can afford, because it is not priority is key.
Once you pass that module, you are set for financial exploits.
Plan your financial activities (budgeting)
Put something aside consistently (savings)
Push yourself to be more valuable (income)
Plant wisely (investing)
Protect your assets against risk (insurance)
Preserve your financial future (pension)
Paralyze fear (mindset)
In other words👉
The loudest boos will come from the cheapest seats. Those who invest the least in you, will have the most to say about you. Trust your work and keep your circle tight. -Anon
Don’t attempt to save N200,000 in a month when you have not mastered how to save N20,000 consistently.

We can take a cue from farmers for personal finance management.
When they harvest their crops:
They consume (expenses)
They sell (for income)
They replant (investment)

Your seeds= Your future
Your big financial or savings goals when broken down, make more sense & can be relatable.
N50,000 saved 20 times equals N1m
N10,000 in 10 places is N100,000
N5,000 in 20 places is N100,000.
Don’t be too hard on yourself, break up your goals into smaller bits & attack consistently
