New State Secretary at the Ministry of Culture Štefan Kuffa (christian-fundamentalist Život) called for "Christ the King to be enthroned and become the king of Slovakia" during a mass at the St Nicholas Basilica. He promised that the Ministry of Culture will initiate the process.

Although a record high of people voted from abroad, abroad votes still only made up 2% of all votes. Liberal PS won decisively, getting 61% of the vote. Far behind them is classical liberal SaS with over 10%, and left-conservative Smer with 6%.

Smer, Hlas and SNS signed a memorandum paving the way for the creation of a new government. Smer will receive Prime Minister and 6 ministries, Hlas will receive Speaker of Parliament and 7 ministries while SNS will receive 3 ministries, including a new one to be created in 2024.

Chairman of liberal PS Michal Šimečka resigned from the post of Vice-chairman of the European Parliament and will also resign as MEP. He will return to Slovakia to serve as the informal leader of the opposition and wants to provide a better alternative to the Fico IV government.

Following Ivan Korčok’s victory in the first round, he has received support of Igor Matovič and his conservative populist Slovensko. Although Štefan Harabin refused to support a candidate, a majority of parties supporting him further endorsed Peter Pellegrini in the second round.

Another party which barely missed the threshold is Hungarian minority Aliancia. György Gyimesi claims ethnic Hungarian politics in Slovakia is dead because of decreasing ethnic polarisation and that it is impossible for a Hungarian party to enter parliament on its own anymore.

According to (incomplete) data by Denník N from the Focus exit poll, PS dominated among first time voters, receiving 32% of the vote. They were followed by Smer, which did much better than expected and got 18%. Hlas came third with 10%, then OĽaNO with 8% and Republika with 6%.
