Tips to beat Enel: If they are on high life, raigo hurts them If on 1 life, kata to remove is awkward If on 2 life, they cannot gain secondary effects from Yamato and Ace Play around gedatsu For my students it went from hardest matchup to easiest :) practice makes perfect!

My stance on the OP BDIFs have sometimes been different to other people's. I value consistency>ceiling in decks, therefore I opted to play decks like WB (02-04) and Moria (06). RPLaw in EB/07 feels inconsistent, where if you see the correct pieces nothing on god's green

If I can give a quick tip to players on how to play RPLaw, is to plan your don management very precisely If you start a turn with 6 don (7 with ace build) it allows for the highest reward (5c plus Gordon plus shachi/bepo/reiju) If you go below this, games will be hard

Enel has won 2 regionals in a row in oce, and I hear a lot of people struggling into it. TBH I feel if you know how to vs the deck, most deck's midroll is enough to deal with Enel, even if they see everything (except 20 triggers). However, if you make a mistake, you will lose.

If you feel BY is an easy “brain dead” deck, you either: Don’t know how the deck works Play decks that are bad into it Don’t know how to play into it Once it gets in a groove where it can play Moria double sabo every turn it’s easy, but getting there is the difficult part

After seeing OPTCG evolve over the last few years, it seems the “cheating characters into play” theme of decks is getting insane. Chopper engine, Doffy, RPLaw, 8c Moria and Moria leader seem to be adopting these styles, however it’s extremely scary to see how highroll it can get

After some time testing OP07 I believe this is the format where deckbuilding means the most. Since there are so many meta decks, one must make the decision of spreading their deck thin so it can beat anything inconsistently, or sacrifice a matchup and pray you dodge/opp brick

PSA: If you are playing a tournament the next day and are thinking about changing 1-2 cards, just stick with what you’ve got. Most of my losses are to not seeing a card I have 4 of (Moria in 06, lucci/Rebecca/hina in 05) and mastering the list you currently have will help more!

Workaround for online events: These are card stands we used for 3v3, I used to use them for webcam events as you could put your cards there at the start of the game and there was no way they were ever leaving frame. If my opponents ask me for cards in hand, I can take them off

In light of the recent OP cheating: My main takeaway is that players who are “suss” at in person events appear to mainly get caught cheating in online tourneys. All tournaments have cheaters, it’s mainly just cheating online that gets caught through recording
