I left things fairly late and only booked most of it in the last few weeks. I've also chose 1st class for a number of trains as they're only £20/30 more but it all adds up

1st day of travelling done. Sunderland to Köln via London and Brussels. Just over 11 and a half hours including stopovers, everything ran on time until we crossed the German border (shock), only the 6 minutes delay arriving into Köln though which is acceptable
