A few weeks ago, we got an e-mail from someone who had a Yu Lu for the first time. It turns out the beer shared a name with a friend of his, who's a world famous senior theoretical physicist at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing. Here's Yu Lu proudly showing off a mat!

This is clearly a cynical attempt by a big brewer to use the pandemic and their size to cut choice for the consumer and pursue their own agenda. It's pretty ugly. We have witnessed weight and resources being thrown around to oust independents before, but this is a low point.
