Definitely one of the most intense stories I’ve ever worked on! I spent 6 weeks researching the trade of 2 million underaged housemaids in Madagascar who are often enslaved and sexually abused. Bargaining takes place in Facebook groups, where girls are offered by their relatives.

We saw about 20 #migrants including children getting on a rubber boat early this morning close to #calais . It looked very unsafe, so we called the police to let them know they might need help. Hours later, still no one showed up. @GavinLeeBBC @XavierVanP

#Belgian gov to decide about a stricter #lockdown today as #COVID19be numbers continue to rise. A new record of 23,921 infections in the past 24h despite limited testing. I don’t want to panic, but that’s like registering about 180,000 cases for a country the size of #Germany 🇩🇪

#COVID19 cases in #Belgium are decreasing again for the third day in a row. Last week, an average of 527 people tested positive for #Covid_19 each day, compared to 617 the week before, marking a decrease of 15%. However, twice as many deaths were recorded (10vs 4) @CrisiscenterBE
