How Murdoch could work in the Railway Series, a thread:
Murdoch was originally BR 92245, built in November 1958 at Crewe.
He lived a rather uneventful but short life on BR, being withdrawn in 1964.
Left alone in the scrapyard for years made his once gleaming black paint turn-
“I mean… he’s been abandoned in that shed for years and he’s fairly old, so he could go in that museum of yours-?”
“Topham, Smudger destroyed half the coaches and hospitalised most of the passengers whilst trying to jump over the drawbridge.”
“Rusty, are we lost?”
“Don’t worry, Luke. That lorry will come back for us.”
“Can we go to Greggs when he gets back?”
“If you pay this time, then yes.”
How Rebecca could work in the Railway Series, a Thread:
Rebecca was originally BR 34049 ‘Anti Aircraft Command’. Built in December 1946, she worked on the Southern Region of BR for a few years.
After being damaged by a large fire, she noticed her paintwork became-
The passengers were yelling at Diesel. He had been setting up Old Stuck-Up's express coaches and fallen asleep halfway through.
No doubt he'd been hitting the oil refinery the night before. Everyone shouted and bellowed, but nothing worked.

Twelfth book of the Further Railway Series is here.

Hope you all enjoy this volume.
How Hank could work in the Railway Series, a thread:
Hank is a USATC S160 Class, one of many engines built in 1942 at Baldwin Locomotive Works.
He was sent with many others to the UK, though he was the only one sent to work on Sodor.
He stayed there until the end of the war-
Does anybody know the reason why Toby got so offended for being called electric?
Was it ever established anywhere why exactly Toby doesn’t like being called electric?
Does Toby just not like electric trams or something?
The Other Railway was one of the so-called Forbes Top 10 Worst Business Ventures In World History, formed during the great 1948 New Years piss-up in the stationmaster's house at Barrow.
How Stanley could work in the Railway Series, a thread:
Stanley is an experimental tank engine built by the NWR at Crovan’s Gate Works.
Built in 1958, Stanley was built out of various parts to the design of various contractor’s engines.
Stanley is used as a private hire-
Tenth book of the Further Railway Series is here.
Small Diesel Engines.
The Small Railway celebrates its tenth anniversary, as Frank gets a steam-outline shape, the Blister Sisters solve a mystery, and Sigrid leads a quadruple header.
I would love for someone to explain to me how exactly this accident (involving a GWR pannier tank and an old military lorry) happened.
I believe it’s from around the 1950s at Cumberland Road on the Bristol Harbour Railway, but I can’t find any info on how exactly this happened.
Sixth book of the Railway Series Continuation is here. Ivo Hugh the New Engine.
The newest steam engine on the Skarloey Railway, Ivo Hugh is rude, reckless and a bully to the other engines, though he learns the error of his ways after several incidents.
Seventeenth book of the Further Railway Series is here.
Highland Engines.
Sodor has a brand new railway up in the northern highlands and you’ll meet new friends like Freddie, Mighty Mac, Cindy and Alice.
Eleventh book of the Further Railway Series is here.
Dockyard Engines.
Salty, a diesel fond of tales of the sea, arrives on Sodor to help with work at the big harbour.
But he has trouble getting along with Porter, A.W.Dry & Co.’s traction engine.
How Dennis and Norman could work in the Railway Series, a thread:
Dennis was BR 11001, an experimental diesel engine built in 1949.
He worked on shunting and dwindling goods trains before being withdrawn in 1959.
Dennis was saved from scrap by a heritage society and sent to-
Watching Series 17-20 on DVD and I really love how the engines seem to move at a steady brisk pace, which is perfect. I really enjoy how comfy it feels. The stories are all set at the right speed.
Then we look at Series 22-24 which is just… fucking hell.
Anyone else here who still rewatches episodes of Jimmy the Jinty?
I really love this series, honestly one of my favourites in the Thomas fandom, it’s really fun.
Watching these episodes again after so long brought back a lot of memories.
I’ve always wondered this about Haunted Henry…
Why was Old Bailey trying to warn Henry of the viaduct?
Why was Henry taking a goods train to the lake station?
Why did Old Bailey try to warn Henry about the viaduct even after it was repaired?
Where does the viaduct lead to?
Oliver & The Collector:
Oliver, whilst stranded in the scrapyard, gets visited by a mysterious stranger, who seems unlike anything Oliver could imagine.
And it is something Oliver never wants to imagine again.
Hope you enjoy this weird short story.
So with seven books written, and I’m currently working on the eighth, I have a question for everyone.
What is your opinion on the Railway Series Continuation?
What do you like about it?
Anything you don’t like?
And what would you like to see from the series in the future?
Here it is. The first book of the Railway Series Continuation, Three Big Diesels.
I don’t expect this series will be as popular as
@SiFansite
’s Extended Railway Series, but I hope you all enjoy this book about BoCo, Bear and Beakley all the same.
Out of all of the Skarloey Railway engines (including Ivo Hugh, Fred and Luke), which one is your favourite and why, and which is your least favourite and why?
Honestly, don’t know why most other people don’t realise this but the illustrations in the Railway Series showing faceless engines are meant to simply be depictions of the real life engines in the real world. In the RWS, they would actually have faces.
My take on Nia in BWBA Rewritten:
Nia works on a small branch line that’s part of the East African Railway in Kenya.
She is in really poor condition, but still keeps on working despite her wear and tear.
Her crew along with the manager love her very much but can’t afford to-
Wait a minute…
(Doesn’t say when this accident happened, but it was in Stafford, involving LMS 3F Jinty No 47649 crashing into a ventilated fruit van)
Is this a coincidence or was this story actually based on this accident?
Question for everyone:
How would you introduce the Culdee Fell Railway into the CGi era of T&F? (Specifically Seasons 20-21)
Their debut? In a movie or in an episode? Mountain Engines adaptation? Liveries changed? The design of locations like Kirk Machan or Summit?
So what happened to the pilot system at Tidmouth?
I’m assuming shortly after Duck was reallocated to Arlesburgh, the Fat Controller made a rotary system so that Duck, the Scottish Twins and Oliver would take it in turns doing shunting and their usual work, as in Crossed Lines-
*INCOMING THREAD*
Whilst I do like quite a lot of the original stories made for Series 5, I think it would have been pretty nice to have some adaptations, from both the Railway Series and even the annuals.
Here’s a thread with some of my choices and why I like them…
Watching Digs & Discoveries now.
And it just keeps getting worse, this is fucking atrocious.
I can’t believe the people who made this took one look and were like “yeah, this is fine.”
I actually love Axel.
I thought he was the coolest looking newbie when The Great Race was releasing all the promo stuff.
Super disappointed they never used him again.
First pic looks like the Fat Controller being all like “How much is he? He’s really cool.”
Can someone explain to me why Angelis made Freddie Irish and Brandon made Hector Spanish?
Part of me wonders if Brosnan voiced them like that and that’s why these two did the same.
*INCOMING THREAD*
So…
What if Series 25 of Thomas & Friends hadn’t been cancelled and became a real thing? What if I wrote every episode in it?
Here’s a list of episode ideas I have for Series 25 of T&F/Series 4 of BWBA.
Hope you guys like these ideas.
#thomasandfriends
Since it’s been about 7 years since the last Tales from the Other Railway episode, how would you guys like it if I wrote Series 7 of this series with 13 all new episodes?
Incoming thread:
And here is the first of the new characters to be introduced in my Thomas and Friends fanmade movie (Battle for the Branchline) named Gladys. The sister of Glynn, though with some modifications, such as cowcatchers and sideplates, as well as a cab, Thomas finds-
Fourteenth book of the Further Railway Series is here.
Helpful Little Engines.
The Skarloey Railway came under hard times during World War II, but even with the help from two War Department diesels, things were bad. Very bad.
I hope you all enjoy this.
My favourite Big World Big Adventures characters are the Australian Buses because the moment they show up they immediately want to leave.
Just like me 👍
I think instead of the life lesson segments at the end of every BWBA episode, they should have had Thomas write a postcard to an engine on Sodor, essentially giving his two cents on what happened in the episode.
Like, maybe he could write to Henry at the end of Trusty Trunky?
What would you say are your favourite things and your least favourite things from Series 5?
Anything that you think should have been changed or rewritten?
Anything that you think should have been added in?

Here’s something I want to share with you all, my own 26 Thomas episode ideas if I made a new season of the Brenner era.
I hope you like them all. Please let me know what you think of them, and also let me know your own CGI Thomas episode ideas.

TATMR sequel idea of mine:
Diesel 10 comes back to Sodor and finds out that the Magic Railroad can take you back and forward in time to past and future Sodor/Shining Time.
Splodge get roped into helping the good guys stop him and George gets forced by D10 to help him.
Sometimes I wonder if some stories or scenes might have worked better with Little Giant.
Like when Skarloey seems to give up on repairing the line in RStD or when he’s too scared to cross the old bridge.
I know the character was dropped before scripts got made but still…
I’m 100% certain Gordon and Ryan would be great friends in the Railway Series.
Both built in the same year, at Doncaster Works, both worked at King’s Cross, both originally GNR engines and both originally painted apple green.
And yes, this will be brought up in Ryan’s FRS book.
Imagine a Thomas & Friends movie, but the main antagonist is Thomas himself.
Meet Nicholas, a Day Out with Thomas replica who escapes his heritage railway to hunt down the famous tank engine that stole his original life.
I’m going to be really honest here.
The runaway theme from The Runaway Elephant by Robert Hartshorne is a very underrated theme and one of my favourite themes from the New Series.
It’s such a banger!
Who is this?!
What’s their name?!
Why does this piece of Series 5 concept art have a tractor with a face that’s not Terence?!
Why did they give them a face and then not make them an actual character?!
…
What would be a good name for them?
How would you rewrite the introductory episodes of the three Nitrogen Era newbies; Charlie, Scruff and Stafford?
This thread will show you how I’d change them:
Meanwhile, on the other side of the river, some little chavs were chattering.
They began to rap:
"Shitty Old Stuck-Up fell in the shit! Fell in the shit, fell in the shit, yo! Shitty Old Stuck-Up fell in the shit! All on a Monday morning, innit!"
So since The Adventure Begins introduced three new characters (Judy, Jerome and Glynn), what new characters could the possible sequel of The Adventure Continues have introduced if it had been made into a real thing?
