Let’s learn how to draw proper cartoon hats. We’ll start with one of the ones I have experience in. Darkwing Duck wears an exaggerated wide brimmed fedora (or slouch hat.) The hat should look like it actually fits on the head so width of the crown should be as wide as the head.

Hat Tutorial 6- José Carioca wears a straw hat known as a Boater. It’s considered a semi-formal hat for outdoor events. A Boater has a stiff crown and brim featuring a patterned ribbon. José’s black ribbon and Brazilian style often misidentifies his hat as a Panama.

Hat Tutorial 3- Scrooge McDuck wears a silk top hat to befit his station as the richest duck in the world. Not collapsable like an Opera hat or made of wool like a Coachman’s hat, the topper is acceptable for both day or nighttime formal wear and adventuring.
