We are delighted to announce casting for our autumn classic Hedda Gabler. Playing George Tesman is Marc Antolin, Hedda Gabler is played Heledd Gwynn and Richard Mylan returns to Sherman Theatre to play Judge Brack. Further casting is due to be announced in the coming weeks.

Mali Ann Rees is a bilingual Cardiff born actress who you may have seen in Merched Parchus on S4C or Tourist Trap on BBC One. Despite writing for many years Bratiaith is Mali’s debut piece.

We were deeply saddened to hear that writer and critic Othniel Smith has died. Othniel was one of the most important voices in Welsh theatre criticism and made an invaluable contribution to theatre in Wales.
Our Artistic Director, Rachel O’Riordan, said ‘This all-female Lord of the Flies is the first co-production between the Sherman & Theatr Clwyd. I'm delighted to be partnering with Tamara Harvey on this bold re-imagining, with the voices of young women placed front & centre.'

We are delighted to announce our Spring 2018 Season. The season has at its heart three Sherman Theatre productions of plays that speak to our humanity and our soul
1/4 The Sherman staff and Board of Trustees were greatly saddened to hear the tragic news about former Sherman Head of Development Emma Goad who passed away this week.
Whilst other sectors are re-opening throughout Wales, theatres remain closed. We, along with colleagues throughout the theatre sector, are calling on Welsh Government to work with us on a pathway towards safe and secure re-opening.
Thank you so much for the feedback you have been sharing with us about our TEN plays. We’re really excited to share all ten plays with you for one final week starting next Friday, giving you the opportunity to watch your favourites again or catch any you missed.
