I think Wilf seeing the Doctor again is a particularly hard hitting scene bc the last time wilf saw him he was about to die/rlly miserable, and for Wilf to be able to see him genuinely happy again, and not tainted by the impending death he had faced all those years ago was lovely
My girlfriend has started watching modern Doctor Who from the start. I have deliberately never watched any of it before. This is my initial impression:
One thing I will say though is I thought Callie Cooke’s performance as Lindy after the Ricky September thing was superb
you really get this idea that she just lacks any empathy and is completely self centred, even through the way she talks about Ricky so coldly. Utter monster
guys remember the thing rtd said about the background that ncuti's in being edited because it would give away too much?
i think i've found the background. with a bit of colour correction we're basically spot on lighting wise with the helipad set.

I've always admired Eccleston's run, he had that sort of edge about him! For the 60th, I actually paid homage to a bit 29 minutes and 40 seconds into episode 6 of his first series, and I'm sure the fans will notice!

saw a theory about how the toymaker can make people relive memories and this could explain why he's exclaiming "why does it have to be this?" as he might be forced to relive painful moments. this could be how past doctors and companions cameo, and i'd take this over the edge
Making an effort not to attach his moral character to a sci fi show, but I really get hit this warmth when I see Eccleston talk from his heart about the real issues, you get this sense that he really cares about making a difference. Top class lad
