Yeah, there are people living on the streets who need help. Also why are you taking videos of random strangers? Is it like a fetish thing for you? Either way it’s really creepy and weird.
Happy 23rd birthday to MAX Red Line, the first train-to-plane service on the West Coast! 🔴 ✈️
It opened on Sept. 10, 2001. 📆
After several extensions west, Red Line trains now run between PDX and Hillsboro. 🚈
Sorry PPB doesn’t have the staffing to respond to your robbery call, or your assault call, or your dv call, but they do have the staffing to sweep a peaceful protest at 1:37am.
Aurora Borealis? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? Localized entirely at this one gravel pull off on Highway 26 in the Oregon Coast Range?
you can have whatever opinions on flags you want—i love the st. louis flag—but in chicago you will see homes and businesses flying or displaying some form of the city flag more often than every other flag combined. i’ve never seen anything like it anywhere else in the u.s.
@MattBinder
I grew up in Texas and some of my neighbors seemed excited at the idea of somebody coming up to their house because they’d finally get their chance to kill another human. It felt like they had been waiting for that moment their entire lives.

yeah man my mid size american city is so cool. we have a light rail line. there are a couple microbreweries. a beer is $12 and I pay manhattan levels in rent
Oh cool, the Menashe family bought the Montgomery Park building? I'm sure they'll take good care of it like they do with their other properties (picture unrelated)
@hardlee73
I live downtown and go to the library all the time. I’ve never had a problem but then again I’m not a conservative who’s scared of everything.
Our Sustainable Transportation for All Ages & Abilities Team performed a restoration of green bike lanes to make the delineation between bike and auto lanes more clear leading to increased safety for cyclists in this traffic-heavy area.🚴

Portland's MAX lines slow to a crawl once they reach the city center, creating system-wide slowdowns. Adding downtown tunnels might be the only way to fix that in the long term.

Issuing an open invitation to all TriMet board members to spend a day riding the MAX with me. We’ll make sure it’s on a really rainy and cold day so you can get a feel of the effectiveness of y’all’s weather protection. We can also ride the 72 bus if you’re so inclined!
My favorite thing has to be when someone who obviously hasn’t been downtown in years tries to tell me, someone who lives downtown, what it’s like here.
Results of a survey conducted this spring show a close correlation between how often Portlanders venture downtown and their views on whether the city is moving in the right direction.
“There is a little bit of a chicken or the egg situation here.”
one thing I love about this country is how the fancy thinkers are all "center-right nation blah blah blah" but then everyone someone actually gets around to checking, most americans are just like HANDS OFF OUR TRANS FRIENDS
The MAX system really cannot handle heat. The oldest tracks were built in a time when 100 degrees happened once every few years. I don't know the extent of the work that needs to be done, but it certainly is more extensive than the work TriMet has already done.
What are your thoughts about regional transportation priorities? How should state leaders address transportation funding challenges? 🚌🚈
If you support more funding for transit, you can share your thoughts at this Oregon Legislature Joint Committee on Transportation listening
In this uninspiring race for mayor, Portland voters should list Rene Gonzalez, who will push the city toward stability regardless of what chaos arises, as their first choice and mark Carmen Rubio as their second. Editorial:
Clearly The Oregonian has no problem with a man who groomed an underage boy as mayor. They have no problem with a man who got fired from the current administration for bullying women. They’ve covered Sam Adams for well over a decade, they know who he is.
Multnomah County voters in Districts 1 and 2 can help inject urgency and change the direction of the county commission this election. They should vote for Vadim Mozyrsky and Sam Adams as their representatives on the board of commissioners. Editorial:
Behind the Scenes on the Campaign Trail
Rene Gonzalez’s mayoral campaign recently reached out, upset about one of my tweets.
Honestly, I was confused, because everything in it was true.
After reviewing the tweet, I’m guessing this sentence hit a nerve:
“Rene Gonzalez has

Is there more to Voodoo Doughnuts than they are telling us? Why the pedo symbol on logo and donuts and sick IG pictures? Isaac Kappy and Vegan Mikey both told us there is more going on here. Let's see for ourselves.
My housing production bill is making its way through the legislature, but I’m not losing sight of what’s most important: Oregon needs to build more housing – now.
Saturday morning, one of our patrol officers stopped a driver who was going 122mph down I-5 in a 55mph zone.
The 24-year-old driver got a hefty ticket, not only for speeding, but also for failing to display license plates and failing to yield to an emergency vehicle.
UPDATE: NOAA says the dead whale seen floating off the Oregon coast has washed ashore. The public is being asked to stay away from the carcass so they can conduct an exam:
TriMet refusing to build any kind of decent weather protection at any of their stations is a good example of how anti-homeless hostile architecture always ends up hurting everybody.
