I threw the kitchen sink at this shot. Object morphs, rigid body and cloth dynamics, fire sims, caustics and lots of smooth keyframes. This is probably one of my fav shots I ever animated. Cant wait to dive deeper into this when we do a breakdown

C4D is about 100 bucks a month. If you're a professional, your making that in half a days work. Folks use to have to fork out 3-4k to use cinema a few years ago. Lets not lose sight of how low the bar to entry is now using 3D.

It was VERY important for me to depict a Black person in the short. Representation is key and it was important to reflect skin tones not regularly seen in CG. Humans are incredibly difficult to get right in CG, but I'm happy how this turned out, here is a hi-res still.
