This is an old pic of a hairy unshaved Seb supporting Neri Colmenares for Senate in 2016.
I still believe the most underprivileged sectors of Philippine society deserve a voice in the Senate in 2022. I just feel that way with a freshly shaved face.
Hey y’all, I’m happy to announce your boy is now officially a real estate agent. Just passed my state exam here in Georgia.
I needed something to do while sheltering in place here in the US, and this is it. Y’all pretend my pic’s got confetti for maximum impact ha. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
What I like about Leni most is that I’ve never had to question her sincerity in wanting to help the more vulnerable sectors of society. You see it in how visible she is in times of crises and how she lives her life when cameras aren’t around.
see: Office of VP’s response to the pandemic vs Duterte’s. It was nice to have a public servant rush to organize aid without putting their name on everything.
I like her commitment to good governance.
Given how endemic corruption is in the Philippines and how fragile its institutions still are. I appreciate how Leni often chose to take public transportation over the convenience many would expect of her.
I like that she’s been a staunch advocate of human rights throughout Duterte’s war on drugs. In general, it’s nice to see a candidate for president who can actually talk about the rehabilitation of drug addicts rather than, you know, just run on a platform of murder.
Obligatory disclaimer. I lean progressive. And if the world we live in didn’t force us to factor the return of dictators past, I might consider other candidates, but *in this particular moment of time* it’s hard to feel any other way. That said.
She did so both as a mayor’s wife and a congresswoman. And I appreciate that sort of character/humilty in a public servant, esp one running for the highest office.
I spent well over a hundred hours campaigning for Bernie, between phone-banking and talking to neighbors. In all that time, not once did I hear a peep about “Bernie Bros.” Among all the things that genuinely suck rn, I’m so tired of the narratives that supposedly justify them.
I know, for a lot of the younger folks in the LGBT+ community, Jennifer Laude’s name wasn’t one you heard before yesterday. That’s ok.
But if you really want to do right by our more marginalized, make it a point to learn about the SOGIE Equality Bill and other ongoing efforts.
And uh, we just went under contract on this home my team’s been working on for awhile. I only hosted about a dozen Open Houses for it, so I’ll be happy dancing now.
For those still closeted, whenever it is you do choose to come out, I hope the people in your life love and accept you the way you deserve, but just in case they don’t, hang in there.
A lot of us had to find families outside our own. You will too.
@kbrosas
Aww thank you for sharing this. This is the mother’s reaction most LGBT+ kids want, deserve. Im happy na part po kayo ng My Husbands Lover dati... Kung may re-make, kayo na lang po yung nanay ni Eric (Dennis Trillo). Motherly acceptance suits you Hehe ❤️
