This is one of the most powerful historical photos I've ever seen.
They are Jewish prisoners being liberated from a death train in 1945. They were en route to concentration camps. They would have likely all been killed, many of them almost immediately.

Volodymyr, you have an astonishing number of Kremlin trolls stalking everything you do on Twitter. The comment sections attest to that. I have to block them constantly whenever I comment on anything related to Ukraine.
You would think that Ukraine invaded Iraq based on these
It's official. Canceled Grammarly. I feel so free, like I just ended a bad relationship.
Me: "It's over. I want to see other people."
Grammarly: did you mean, "It went over. Other people do I wish to go see indeed."?
No. Get out.
Just a random answer I wrote :) For those who don't know wtf you are looking at. It is an answer from Quora. A platform I write on. For those who do. Could you hook me up with a retweet? Pretty please? Trying to let people know I'm here! :) Later!
I'm right at my 3-year mark as a full-time writer.
People thought I was crazy when I quit my job to do this.
It has gone better than I could have hoped. I love what I do and feel like the luckiest man alive. Thank you for your support. The best is yet to come.
Just because you wake up early doesn't mean you are ultra-productive.
Sleeping late doesn't mean you are lazy baggage to society. Everyone operates on different schedules.
Success porn over glorifies these 5 AM workout bros.
My girlfriend's university, Ithica College, had a department of Leisure and Recreation studies.
I repeat: You could literally major in LEISURE Studies.
Their final project (at the time) was to plan and then take a vacation and write an essay about it.
I missed my calling.
The best part of my job is that I can step outside and feel the cool breeze without worrying about my boss or coworkers giving me the stink eye. Being a writer is great.
Years ago, my marriage counselor said, “When someone tells you they want to leave, the most loving thing you can do is smile and wish them the best of luck.”
Being pushed away isn’t cruel. It’s often a final act of love.
If they say they want to leave—let them.
Think about those times you’ve seen someone and thought about how smart, beautiful or charismatic they were. Think about how many times you never mentioned it to them.
People do this every day — about you. Each and every day, you are swimming through invisible compliments.
Thank you to
@Quora
for the swaggg! I shall wear this shirt to the gym with zero shame.
I just crossed the six year mark on the platform. Crazy how time flies.
In 100 years, everyone you know will likely be dead.
And people won't remember who you are. We are only on this planet for a short time.
Do the things you want to do and live your own life. This is a short play. Don't be an extra in someone else's storyline.
After having an egregiously bad boss, I’ve made a rule that I’ll never stay in a job that makes me miserable.
No amount of money or glory will change that fact. I’m approaching 40. My family members are getting older. I know now, more than ever, that I'm not going to live
My Quora+ earnings are finally starting to grow a bit. Not making a full-time living by any means. But it's a step in the right direction. Excited to see where this goes.
Had a rough night. Man attempted to break into my house. Heard banging and went downstairs. Saw angry man's face in front door window. He was banging on the door, on drugs. He ripped our shared gate out. Broke neighbor's door.
Scary as hell. Thought I was going to have to fight.
Today, someone loudly whispered my name from across the grocery aisle, "Psst. Sean."
I look over and it's a stranger, a 30ish-year-old man. He gives me a thumbs up and a smile, "I read your stuff."
This doesn't happen every day. But my fragile ego drinks it up when it does.
Please help me share this: Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan are buying up cheap Russian bonds to profit from the war. It's pure sociopathy.
Avoid doing business with them. Please.
Laura called me from the university for help with excel. Couldn't help but note the difference in our attire and office. She showed off her secret fruit-balancing talent.
Quick writing tip:
I just caught myself writing a double negative. It's a bad habit.
I wrote, "She wasn't unaware."
Changed it to, "She was fully aware."
Double negatives are clunky and cause readers to stumble.
I've learned so many Indian English words/phrases on Quora that I'd never seen before.
Freshers = they are new/no experience
Nice click = good picture
Out of station = Out of town
Shift = relocate
Prepone = move appointment earlier (opposite of postpone)
These doctors are bowing to the body of an 11-year-old boy, Liang Yaoyi.
That’s his mother in the center with her hands over her face. They are in Guangdong, China.
Liang died of a brain tumor but donated his organs which went on to save the lives of several children. His
Nearly 7 years ago, I wrote an answer on Quora out of boredom.
I'd have never imagined it would lead me on this crazy journey to becoming a writer and doing so many cool projects.
I feel so fortunate for having found something I am so passionate about, and being able to do it
“She had blue skin,
And so did he.
He kept it hid
And so did she.
They searched for blue
Their whole life through,
Then passed right by-
And never knew.”

So many people assume they can't change.
They resign themselves to being stuck with the same appearance, personality, and way of thinking.
They don't realize they are already in a state of perpetual change. Each day is an act of renewal or an act of decay, but never stagnation.
During World War 1, prostitutes charged more if they had syphilis.
Why? Because if a soldier contracted the disease, he would get pulled from the front line.
All problems are relative. Everything is a tradeoff in life.
I have a zero-tolerance policy on disrespect.
If people leave deliberately mean, insulting comments, they are insta-blocked (even if it's directed at another commenter who did nothing wrong).
I don't tolerate toxic people.
And I appreciate all of you nice folks :) Thank you.
My friend's husband got rejected from hip surgery by his insurer because "it wasn't medically necessary" for a 30-year-old. Yet he's in chronic pain.
It's a bit preposterous to think someone wants hip surgery for fun or cosmetic reasons. Insurance in the US is so fucked.
Loaning money to a friend is how you ruin friendships.
If your friend is in dire financial straights, and you have the money, don't loan it to them. Give it to them.
Does anyone else have recurring nightmares about a final exam they aren't prepared for?
Mine often go a step further and involve me having to start college over again if I fail.
I'm many years removed from school but still haunted by the experience.
I loved this piece, called the Yin Yang of the world by David Revoy.
It’s not just a commentary on obesity in privileged countries, but also on the over-the-top luxuries we enjoy while others endure constant suffering and warfare (hence the bandage on his shoulder).

A special and heartfelt thank you to the people who have been reading (and putting up with) my content over the years.
I aim to entertain and inform. I don't always succeed in this endeavor, but I try.
I have no favors to ask of you. I have no apologies to give (as of this
One of my favorite parts of writing is writing a sentence that you like. But then coming back and rewriting it to be much, much better.
Don't write in one session then smash publish. Come back to it. Rewriting is extremely important.
What a cool story. The kid without the suit on couldn't wear a costume on Halloween because of his religion.
So the other kids dressed up as secret service and the kid played the president. That's how it's done right there. Some counter energy to all the divisiveness.
Q: "How do you deal with creative slumps when it comes to writing?"
Michael Jackson was sued for plagiarism in 1994.
The plaintiff was a random woman, Crystal Carter, who claimed she'd already written the song "Bad". The case was laughable and failed miserably in court.
But the
