The largest contributors to the funding of the Church are the parishes. Generous donors give nearly £1 BILLION EVERY YEAR. £318 million is paid to dioceses for parish ministry. Yet dioceses are cutting clergy, leading to a 'doom loop' of less giving, leading to even less clergy.
