We need a serious discussion on the inadequate hardware, installed on all #docklessbikes . The kickstands are not effective in windy conditions, resulting in bikes falling over and becoming a hazard. @CityWestminster needs to hold operators to account on the necessary upgrades.

@leader_wcc @CityWestminster Time and time again these stores have proven to be illegitimate, dishonest businesses. Tax evasion, counterfeit goods, unjustified prices and poor customer service - all synonymous with these stores. It's time the @CityWestminster ups its efforts to put more pressure on them.

It was great to catch up with @AndrewBoff at the mayoral hustings, organised by @Shelter . With Khan delivering just 874 affordable housing starts (4% of the 23,900 GLA target) - London deserves a mayor who will take the housing issue seriously. On May 2, vote Susan Hall 🗳️

I'm disappointed to learn that @RNBlake has voted to cut the #WinterFuelPayments , for over 10k pensioners in Westminster and City. I spoke to many of them, in and around St James's, this week. Most feel betrayed. Some are genuinely fearful of not being able to heat, this winter.

The Millbank Palm tree has always been one of my favourite features, when cycling to work 🌴. It is sad to see the result of @TfL 's plan to remove this #TwoCities landmark and pave over the roundabout to install bike lanes. Innovation shouldn't come at a cost to heritage.

@WCCpressoffice @limebike Would it not make more sense to introduce 'parking zones', rather than 'no-parking zones'? Identifying safe & suitable parking spaces, that serve as 'digital docking stations', rather than just adding more pressure on the streets, that didn't make the 'no parking' list.

@WCCpressoffice @DailyMailUK The "rate payers and council tax payers of Westminster" have overwhelmingly spoken out against spending £3m to get rid of 0.008% of Westminster's emissions, while relegating another part of London's DNA to the pages of history. These lamps belong to us - not Westminster Council.

These findings demonstrate the @CityWestminster 's total disregard for the views of their residents, who deserve better. Introducing a 1,800% parking charges hike for EVs, despite a 91.9% opposition to the scheme, is not only inappropriate - it is undemocratic.

As your video outlines, when parked irresponsibly e-bikes are a hazard for pedestrians, especially ones with visual impairment. A safe and convenient solution is needed for micro-mobility vehicles if they are to have a permanent place on our streets.

@WCCpressoffice @CityWestminster The fight against irresponsibly-parked e-bikes has been a failure, thus far. These images are a week apart and the bikes are still there. The council must get tougher on operators and make the failure to enforce their own rules, financially painful for them.

Pavements become completely impassable, forcing pedestrians onto the road - not a luxury that everyone can afford. Operators aren't proactive in seeking out solutions, so need to be forced to put accessibility ahead of profitability.

However, TfL are dragging their feet, with the consultation only starting in 2025. It isn't good enough and we are campaigning to speed the process up.

📫 This morning the @CLWCA team has been delivering @twocitiesnickie 's report, in the historic Churchill Gardens. 🏢 The estate was developed in 1946-1962 to a design by the architects Powell and Moya, replacing Victorian houses extensively damaged during the Blitz. #TwoCities

Why is the individual micromobility bay capacity not being adhered and who is to blame? The St James Street bay 116 has an official capacity of 17 - the image shows 42 bikes parked there.

But the police numbers are at the highest level in a decade, thanks to the government-funded uplift programme. The only force in the country that failed to hit the target is the Met, overseen by Khan. Surely we can agree this isn't right.

Urilift is an ingenious solution to the issue of public urination. But the tragic death occuring over the weekend raises questions over its safety. I hope that @CityWestminster will work with the company to ensure no more lives are endangered #TwoCities

The urinal was at Cambridge Circus - on the junction between Shaftesbury Avenue and Charing Cross Road - and outside the Palace Theatre where the Harry Potter play was shown last night.

It is hard not to see a near-direct correlation between the number of stop and searches and knife-related offences, in London. Stop and search takes knives off the streets and saves lives. I appeal to @metpoliceuk and @MayorofLondon to follow the evidence. #knifecrime
