So @SkyNews just showed a consultant anaesthetist telling @sajidjavid that he hasn’t been vaccinated and there’s no science behind it..He has undermined the rest of us working day & night vaccinating & trying to protect the population.. I’m so angry & upset..

Today is the most difficult day of my life as Nasir starts his custodial sentence & I figure out what to tell my 4 year old.. I’ve felt the need to write this in the hope that others learn from Nasirs mistakes & no one goes through the pain we have suffered in the last 3 years.

Only GP in today covering 7000 patients as well as supervising the GP trainee, paramedic and Physicians assistant..multiple phone & face to face consults, 200+ prescriptions, 50+ lab reports, clinic letters.. no time for lunch, yet all I read is GP’s are lazy & do nothing..

As a cricketer there’s many times I’ve done this..you’re in the crease but when the bowler is in their action you walk out as you naturally expect them to finish their delivery..you don’t expect them to stop. Yes it’s legal but it’s pretty damn shit when it happens.. #mankading

A bit of an emotional day..Haniyas first day at school & my first day at my new job..a difficult start as she wanted to FaceTime her dad to show her uniform & I struggled to explain why it wasn’t possible, thankfully she was ok after a 10 minute tantrum & we both made it on time!

Called GP surgery for 8 year old, told them symptoms ,sent photo, said what I tried already & not better.. told needs appt within 1 week. Got there & seen by a PA who said will discuss with a GP & get back. The system is flawed! Waste of resources &time + PA’s shouldnt see kids!

Why can’t children look after their elderly parents in the way they looked after us as children, making sure our every need was fulfilled.. attending to us night & day with no regard to lost sleep, sweat & tears 😢

My mum had an urgent chest x ray and blood tests as she was coughing up blood. Her GP just called me now as she’s still working at 9pm & seen the results.. GP’s are NOT lazy! Luckily x-ray shows pneumonia & not cancer which is what I was petrified about 🤲🏻.. #NHS

Been a difficult day.. a young patient of mine with cancer is now terminal, she’s my age with young children..It was so hard holding back the tears whilst discussing her end of life care..it’s a really tough job some days...💔

Just vaccinated another few hundred with the #AstraZeneca vaccine.. everyone who had concerns spoke to me & they all went ahead.. not a single patient left without being vaccinated..amazing what an informed chat can achieve.. #covidvacccine

I’m working non stop for the next 6 days in both my usual surgery & urgent care.. I will be seeing patients face to face including those with Covid symptoms. Relying heavily on this mask, apron, gloves & lots of prayers to protect me & in turn my family from getting #COVID again.

Met a 90 year old patient who brought her 50 year old disabled daughter to see me.. I was in awe of the mother watching her at her age care for her daughter.. she’d recently lost her husband but was soldiering on.. some people are just incredible..

A patient I have treated 3 times in the last 2 weeks has tested positive for #coronavirus .. the guidance is to continue to work unless we have symptoms but it’s such an awful feeling knowing I’ve probably got it & may pass it to my asthmatic daughter 😥 #COVID2019

Day 2 of the #Covid_19 vaccination & I’m completely well except for slight pain in my arm, which didn’t stop me cooking biryani for my work colleagues.. we couldn’t have a Xmas party due to covid so thought this may cheer them up!
