Today I will be writing about Derek Jarman, nostalgia, boys as saplings, the inconveniences of cruising and Hampstead Heath as a queer silvestral space.
A gay Tory took the time to message me on instagram and say ‘no’ to me having a trans flag on my profile. This demonising of a vital and valued part of the queer community is an act of calculated malice which cannot be tolerated. Trans men are men, and trans women are women. 🏳️⚧️
As the PhD moves inexorably towards its close I am turning to what happens next and if anyone out there has any hints or tips for opportunities in the queer environmental humanities I would be very grateful. Also I write and talk good about books and art.
