if you think removing personal items from distressed pts is an acceptable way to treat a human being, never mind being in hospital then u need to leave the workplace. this is punishment. when someone is distressed you give them support, time & things that help.

Day 6 and I definitely feel better. Sore throat gone, temp gone, headache reduced to fogginess, still got an occasional cough but no pain, breathing good and chest feels clear. I know I am fortunate.

A system where staff retain all control over surveillance tech is never going to return credibility to service users in relation to poor care or encourage staff to behave better. It can only ever cement the power imbalances which facilitate abuse in the first place.

quite a few people reached out - which wasnt my intention but thank you. we all have tough days but ive woken up feeling really physically debilitated and my throat is on fire. Covid test = yup you`ve guessed it. positive. no wonder i wasnt firing on all cylinders.

Utterly shameful. There is only one way to rebuild trust in our regulator and it isnt an apology. I have no choice but to be regulated by this organisation, but I have to have a voice in saying what fit to regulate looks like. Change now

Finally home after a round trip to rescue Midge who got stuck in Edinburgh due to storms & cancelled trains. He managed to get to Darlington so I could collect him. 5 hrs. 🤪 but he passed his Army entrance tests 🎉✅

There is clear cautionary learning about remote surveillance methods in MH settings. I am proud our clinical teams focus on relationships rather than remote monitoring & surveillance @SHSCFT though this is a constant discussion ://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-67409899
