As the water level in Mettur dam dropped to 54.66 ft with peak summer setting in, the beautiful Nandi of Jalakandeshwarar temple is fully visible. Generally, it remains submerged in the Kaveri River for most part of the year.

After E V Ramasamy Naicker broke Ganesha idol, the pillayar (Ganesh) worship became a social celebration in TN with gigantic murtis adorning every street. Until then, it was a quiet family festival. DMK Govt is touching pillayar again. This is not going to end up well for them.
