Sometimes, I think Eren is the kind of character who hits close to home the ones who have struggled with any psychological issue and are hard with themselves. A character for the ones that don’t feel special enough, strong enough, smart enough.

Eren was okay with all that because he felt his powers will be useful for humanity in the military’s hands. But that doesn’t mean that the treatment he received was okay. It was painfully abusive. People fail to see this problem as they stick to Eren’s perspective.

I remember when I first watched Marley arc and everyone was angry at Eren because he made them choose between loosing him or fight with him and I was mad at them because all they saw in him was his military value and in their logic Eren couldn’t even decide do die by himself.

@erenphilee It’s incredible how Eren contradicts the meaning of selfishness itself. He doesn’t do anything to obtain benefits for him, he knew he wasn’t free and wouldn’t be. In that sense, he’s selfless and always have put others before his life and well-being.+
