This afternoon we have been out and about in Standish litter picking as part our Community Project - The Big Standish Clean Up. We visited some 'grot spots' suggested by local residents and cleaned up the area. You would be amazed by what we found! We even found a wheelbarrow!

A big shout out to Rhys and James @MHughesclass who took part in a relay charity bike ride in aid of Butterflies Children's Charity in Shevington, with 16 boys from their rugby team (social distancing guidelines were complied with) Overall the boys rode 50 miles and raised £1365!

Today we used the large map in the hall to investigate time zones. We used the map and atlases to investigate why it is not the same time everywhere in the world. We also learnt about the Prime Meridian and the Royal Observatory in Greenwich.

Yesterday we had a visit from Inar Sorrensson, a farmer and warrior, who told us all about what life was like in Viking times. We really enjoyed looking at some of the weapons and clothing that he would have used on the battle field. Thank you Inar!
