8 year anniversary of buying the farm today
It had big salt scalds
It had soil erosion along drainage lines
It definitely had no trees
When it rained the water ran green with algae.
Now you can't tell where the scalds were
Erosion stopped
Thousands of trees
Clean water 👍
Here’s where
#Matilda
is buried. Years ago she dug a huge hole in the orchard sniffing out a mouse nest.
For years I got the mower stuck in it. It was known as Matilda's hole.
Now it's really hers. Between 2 apricot trees her favourite fruit.
Poor Red died today
She was our best mother
Gave us a ram
Looked after all the orphans
A loving soul
Left 2 daughter lambs who now someone else will look after.
Thanks Red
Lots of tears and the boys are no more.
Put to sleep late this afternoon.
Vet confirmed that their quality of life was never going to be good.
Pity they were lovely little guys.
If open your heart up to
My hard edged, macho image has copped a battering today.
Lots of tears. (So much mucus. Where does that stuff come from.)
Many happy memories.
I have surprisingly few pictures of Matilda because she was always one step behind me.
Thank you everyone for your kind words.
Just got knocked back for my covid booster.
I was sitting in the chair in the treatment room. So close.
My booster for my AZ is due in the Christmas holiday break when everything is closed and they won't do it earlier.
Think I'll start a freedom to get vaccine march
Sometimes the moon rises too early and so it rests on-top of the electricity towers. It waits for the sun to set before carrying on its journey over the night sky.
Now Abla has made it onto the First Dog on the Moon cartoon in the Guardian we can all retire from social media. We are now officially famous.
Thanks for coming.
Hello Tweeps
@SandyHorne61
has asked me to let you all know that she has been temporarily booted out of twitter because she was showing explicit pictures of birds in varying degrees of nakedness. As soon as Elon's minions get around to processing her claim she will return.
Because Wally is deaf when she's moving the sheep she has to keep glancing at me to make sure she's doing what I want.
But she's very gentle with them.
I'd love to be in Glasgow when the world sees our pamphlet.
We're that kid at school who didn't do his homework and handed in something he wrote on the bus.
Jo hosted her cookbook club dinner at our place last night. 9 people. I only knew 3 and not that well.
No panic attack.
Alcohol free (for me).
I survived and drove everyone back to town at 1am.
That's a word first for me and testimony to mindfulness for anxiety.
Wally has been at the vets all day.
$800 dollars later we know nothing new. Half of her spine is fused together with no visible vertebrae. Just bone.
Her hip is going. Knees are good though.
The vet can't believe she can walk. As they say she runs on fitness and attitude
