A lover of pubs and entertainment like cover bands. prefer to talk in person over a pint than email. Have a disabled daughter. Support proportional voting.
The humble British pub is at risk of disappearing forever. With consecutive governments using them as a cash cow raising taxes.
They are the heart of our communities and we should use them more.
Put your phones in your pocket and go and chat with others, this skill is rapidly
@Olgachristie
How about MP’s having a cap on expenses to cover the cost of winter fuel payments. Many claim much more than the salary they collect and the system seems open to abuse!
@JamesMelville
When I was younger I didn’t agree with Tony Benn - I realise how foolish I was then and have grown since then - I just hope the youngsters of today can also mature as I did.
Just heard my son got a slot for Covid test, but they turned him away because he walked to it - they said he had to drive in, trouble is he doesn’t have a licence or a car.
They told him to use public transport and go to Leeds ( from York) for a walk-in test. He declined.
@JamesMelville
I have two cars, one of which is a shed on wheels that I use to transport my dogs to and from where I walk them.
Who want want to use that car?
The other is fairly new and I have seen how many of my neighbour's drive so I wouldn't want them driving it.

We need to leave the ECHR - Have our own human rights that puts victims before the perpetrators and allows the UK to deport any foreign national

To vote against this isn’t remain.
To vote against this is to understand it isn’t the divorce we voted for.
At least your sister has a backbone and is in the right party.
@joinourboys
My wife & daughter have myotonic dystrophy, raising awareness to these debilitating conditions is really important. I am fed up with scientists/medical experts saying a treatment is around the corner, been hearing them say this for 13 years. Hope you find a solution, best wishes.

Not only will I not vote Tory ever again, I will stand using my own money to take votes away from any that stand where I live. I did last week getting 25% of the vote which gave the seat to another party
@JamesMelville
I have lost trust in all the major parties, they are all at it.
Even the greens, yet so much has been going on it barely stayed in the news.
@JamesMelville
Abstaining is not enough - peoples lives will be at risk.
This cut is unacceptable.
How can Labour MP's look consituents in the eyes when they meet the people who voted for them.
@oflynnsocial
Unhelpful.
Of a night time I can hear neighbours coughing all night with Covid - two houses are HMO's where one person has shared it with 9 others.
We are on day 37 shielding my post transplant daughter.

@AmandeepBhogal
I’m sorry but she’s a solicitor and MP she should be held to higher standards, I think I may have to complain as this sentence is too lenient
@davidjamessims
I am also against this bill - wife and daughter have myotonic dystrophy - just hope I live longer than them to keep them safe from people who would abuse something like this.
@JamesMelville
Our steel is some of the best in the world, green targets are going to hurt our country.
God forbid a war started, we wouldn't have the manufacturing infrustucture or even enough farmers to survive.

But how can we trust Labour or the Tories to deliver.
If we stick to the 2.5 party system a load of people will become MP’s promising one thing and changing their views 24 hours after taking office.
@Jacob_Rees_Mogg
You’re had 3.5 years and had a majority at one point.
So I disagree, you lot just want another 5 years of power whilst your own members block progress of us ever leaving.
