It’s January and I haven’t seen a child with RSV. Typically we admit several a week in January. Nobody is seeing much RSV and this would be the biggest story in pediatric medicine in decades if not for the cause of it. I’m happy babies aren’t getting sick, but I can’t celebrate.

My 11 year old son really said it best... "why should I get vaccinated for a disease that is not a risk to me"? He said that when he was 10 and really got to the crux of the issue that it didn't matter if he got covid If you understood the Sorg et al study, you know he is right.

Wearing a mask isn’t a signal of fear or vulnerability any more than a seatbelt or putting a baby down on their back for sleep. It’s an evidence based public health measure that saves lives and has no downside.

Given that there's no evidence on social distancing, I would move to immediate back to normal. Anyone wanting to be given space should wear a mask to signal fear/vulnerability and then we should help these people/respect this wish accordingly.

I’m going to go against the grain here and say that at no point in human history has choice of apple variety played any role whatsoever in the health of any individual or caused weight gain. An apple is an apple. Someone is being paid to write these silly articles.

This photo does not demonstrate safe sleep. Infants should sleep on a firm and flat mattress with no raised sides and no loose blankets. There is no benefit and only risk when using a DockATot or similar device as demonstrated here.
