لأول مرة أسمع عمتي هاجر تبكي وفي قلبها ألم كبير. كانت هي من تقوينا رغم وجودها في السجن وفي ظروف صعبة محرومة فيها حتى من النظر إلى أطفالها. سألتها عن حالها فأجابت: مخنوقة .. مخنوقة، وبهذه العبارة والعبرة لخصت أوضاعها السيئة في سجن يستقوي فيه النظام على إمرأة ضعيفة بلا حياء وذمة.

في مارس ١٩٩٦ اعدمت سلطات البحرين الشهيد عيسى قمبر،٢٩ عاما. وقتها كان شقيقه علي بالسجن ولم يسمح له بمواراة أخيه. ٢٥ أكتوبر ٢٠٢١، رحل الشهيد علي قمبر (٤٨ عاما) بعد معاناة مع مرض السرطان والذي انتشر في جسده وهو في السجن. أم الشهيدين دفنت ابنين لها في سبيل الوطن، ساعدها الله.

#Bahrain : My mother-in-law Hajer told me that she has a lump on her breast. She was examined in August, but never given her the results. Now she no longer feels pain and it has grown in size. She fears it is cancerous. Denying her medical care is causing psychological torment.
