Day 6
The most important advice I can give anyone is this:
Have someone in your corner who pushes you to be the best version of yourself. Do that and it’s a cheat code to happiness and success.
(She said Yes 💍)
Day 5
Let’s talk about everyone’s favorite extrinsic motivator: MONEY
Today more than ever I see YouTubers simply driven by Money… and don’t get me wrong; I LOVE MONEY, but I believe there is a larger picture.
OH! And I should mention when I was in my early 20s; I was also
This is why I hate Minecraft as a niche.
Video RPMs can be all over the place and it can make estimating profits difficult.
Why does this happen though? Well its actually quite easy to figure out...
Day 3
As soon as you can, you HAVE to build a team to help you scale your business.
Obviously some people like to be a one person show; but I feel this is a recipe to get yourself burned out.
I attribute a lot of the reason that I have been doing YouTube as long as I have;
So,
@vidsummit
is kicking off today; so I thought I would drop an educational post to celebrate.
Here is a deepdive into a video of ours that has gained 12,000,000 views in just 7 months.
The video: I survived 100 Days as Mr Beast is Minecraft
Now, obviously having Mr.
@CobeyYOUTUBE
You gotta drop your ego and listen to the feedback your getting.
People aren’t being snowflakes, they are trying to teach you how to properly respond in a situation like that.
Yet you continue to throw around insults making yourself look childish.
Day 2 Advice:
Comparison is a fools game. Stay in your lane and keep grinding. So many people get caught up comparing themselves to others lives, YouTube channels, etc…
But at the end of the day, it’s your life. So if you are having fun on your journey, then you are winning🔥
The replies to this post are a reminder that there will always be people who are jealous of your success and will want to rip you down.
Keep doing you. The noise from the outside doesnt matter.
(
@JamesyRYT
is a goat who is super transparent about his YT Growth - toss a follow)
My least favorite part of the YouTube community right now, is the amount of "editors" offering their services...
just to find out they run a bunch of 3rd party editors and pay them pennies on the dollar, while netting a ton for themselves
No skills, and pure greed.
Everyone around me told me not to drop out of college including my friends and parents.
But one professor at my university told me to leave. I could always go back and pursue higher education. But sometimes the opportunity to chase a dream only comes once.
Chase that dream 🔥
It’s painful to see people quit their job/drop out of school to make content full time before they’re ready. For every person like me that makes it, thousands don’t. Keep that in mind and be smart plz
I’ve been seeing more and more creators criticizing other creators over how they run and operate their channels
First, don’t be that person… everyone is at different places along their journey and learn at different paces. Focus on yourself 🔥
Second…
Some of yall gotta get better with your cold DMs on twitter 💀
I just had a thumbnail guy tell me he can get me 100,000 views per video...
I get 1,000,000+ right now... RESEARCH WHO YOU ARE DMing 😂
One of the worst things you can do is become complacent.
I've been there, and felt like I could just coast the rest of my life away... BUT IT WAS MISERABLE
The second I started focusing on personal growth again, I felt elated.
Always strive to improve 🔥
Day 7 (The last day)
Embrace the journey and you will persevere 🔥
To find success on YouTube you have to be willing to simply create. Go thru the trials and tribulations to learn how to make content.
Studying can only get you so far. If you do not actually begin producing
Quick Rant, but... am I the only person that hates when creators simply go, "Make good videos".
Clearly the reason people are doing research... is because they DONT know how to make a good video. So they are studying... to learn...
Making good videos is a skill that is
2024 Goals
-3,000,000 average views per video (Main Channel)
- Launch 3 new gaming channels (RBLX, UEFN, MC)
- Surround myself with more likeminded people
While I’m on vacation I’m gonna try and drop one piece of advice per day
Day 1 - Enjoy your life. Obviously working hard and grinding towards goals is important… however the point of working hard is so you can also play hard. Go on vacations, make memories, and have fun.
Just made 2 massive hires to the team. An operations manager and a personal assistant.
Watch what we build over the next 2 years. It’s gonna be crazy 🔥
When I left college to pursue YouTube full time there were so many people who told me I was being stupid.
But what I’ve come to learn is every success story starts with a crazy dream.
Pursue your crazy ideas, because that’s the only way to ever make them reality
Bringing my team to
@vidsummit
this year, and its going to be the best investment we make all year.
Investing in your team's education is just as important as your own 🧠
By the end of this week, I will have the REST OF THE YEAR planned out on my main channel in almost every area.
30 more videos this year 🔥 and they are all gonna be bangers
@YouTubelytics
3m now:
Which for context, that channel doesn’t even always hit that when we upload unless we get a banger video. So for no videos in 3 weeks we are kinda surprised 😅
But it’s because the whole back catalog is suddenly pumping with 1 video driving most of the traffic (1/2)
This is the trick many Minecrafter YTers have used for the last 2 years… it’s not only effective because YouTube promotes the high watch time
But the longer videos are much harder to create; leading to a larger barrier of entry meaning less overall competition.
Myself and
So uh... Ya. Now some of you will listen when I talk about that more watch time 🚀🚀 This is one of about 80 of these videos now across some of your favorite channels and niches. So far hitting 100% success rate on these and it's... well, free money if you can do it right. There
Day 3
Enough life advice. Let’s hit the books today. Literally.
Here are 3 books I recommend all people read if you are interested in YouTube or an already established creator.
First is “Blue Ocean Strategy”
In this book you learn how to stand out in an overly competitive
@CobeyYOUTUBE
People are asking that you take the high ground as a creator and not belittle an artist publicly on Twitter.
I’ve had tons of issues with artists, other creators, sponsors, etc… but I would never put them on public blast because it’s unprofessional.
Is it me, or did like half of the YouTube automation community come from Minecraft content 😂
I hear so many stories where people started in Minecraft and used it to launch bigger channels in other markets.
Today’s video is an 8/10, however I’m confident it’ll jump in views and become at least a 3/10 based on comparisons to previous videos.
Check back in 14 days and lets see if I’m right
ROCKY MEDIA IS HIRING - Part Time Position
We are looking for people based in the US / EU to join our Mod Testing / Quality Assurance team! You would be part of the team that tests our Minecraft mods and looks for glitches!
Application Below:
The world is not black and white. You can have people that enjoy "The Hustle" and still have time for family, friends, etc...
If anything, all you grown adults on twitter need to start worrying about yourselves, instead of just tearing down some kid.
I've seen like 3 posts
The Hustle 24/7 mentality will kill more young men than the Woke crowd could dream of.
Young men are brainwashed into working online.
So no office social life.
Then they cut off friends because they don't grind.
Then stop seeing Grandma cause she isn't a hustler.
& they get
I'm usually the last person to blame YouTube for issues... but it does seem odd that after a video that was view botted (and had 600k views deleted) all my views fell.
In fact the next video we uploaded only got 350k views in 7 days, when at a minimum we tended to get 1,000,000
Anyone who has worked with me on YouTube knows how much I PREACH about understanding your new viewers vs returning viewers and how much I HATED the lack of being able to split these metrics up and compare them against things like CTR, impressions, etc...
This update is game
✨ NEW filter in Analytics for “New viewers” & “Returning viewers”
go deeper into your data & see if new/returning viewers are:
driving more views 📈
🌟 or 🌟
watching longer 🍿
head to advanced mode to see metrics by new & returning viewers & learn about your audience 📈
I remember when YouTube “gurus” first started gaining traction on here; there was actually a ton of valuable information floating around.
Lately I find so many bad educational posts about YouTube full of terrible advice. What happened? 😭
If there is one thing I've learned with YouTube over the years... DO NOT OVER EXPAND YOUR TEAM.
Only hire the essentials, which in order I would say is:
-An Editor (or 2)
-A Writer
-A Graphics Lead
-A Creative Director
As you scale you can also get:
-A VP
-A Data Analyst
Fun fact, we generated this image using AI, expanded it using Photoshop AI, and finally added the text.
While I never plan to stop using artists for things like Thumbnails... for a quick discord announcement image, it turned out pretty good!
After talking with TONS of creators over the last 60 days... This tweet still HITS HARD.
Do Not Over Expand Your Team! So many teams today are over-expanding and then having to make cuts within 1-2 years.
Scale Wisely!

With Faceless YouTube Channels oversaturating MANY niches across YouTube... How can you stand out?
Well, luckily there is 2 books that can help you learn to stand out in an overly competitive market.
The first is Purple Cow by Seth Godin, where I find the opening statements in
There is no “right way” to operate a YouTube channel. Every channel is going to have different processes that have helped them find success. There is no “single trick” to grow on YouTube. just because you don’t agree with someone’s approach, doesn’t mean it won’t work for them
The sad truth is that there are no great “social networks” right now.
We may fail, as so many have predicted, but we will try our best to make there be at least one.

There is a right and wrong way to do it tho mate. You chose the wrong way.
And instead of owning your mistake and learning you continue to double down. What a shame.
Felt compelled to speak on the
@LuxuryPranks
@ScaleLabNetwork
situation due to their content being a huge part of my channel & speaking with Parker directly over the years. In my over 10 years on YT I’ve both experienced & seen my fair share of MCNs taking advantage of creators.
@JayeSmacks
Usually its related to testing it with a new audience pool where it doesn't resonate, leading to the decreased views. YouTube will realize this and just start testing with other adjacent pools till it finds people that want to watch. (Though sometimes it just stays dead... cause
How do yall keep your workflow efficient even when you are exhausted?
Personally I use caffeine, but Id like to start looking into alternatives I can use as well (Supplements, routines, etc... anything you do works)
@CobeyYOUTUBE
I’m starting to think you just don’t have emotions 😂
He is crying because it’s a bittersweet ending to his career. It’s his choice ofc, but I’m sure it’s not easy to walk away from something he has been building for years
It’s no different than all those retiring police
In your opinion: What useful metric in YouTube studio is LEAST utilized by creators today
So not things like CTR or AVD; that are talked about all the time. But something more like "new viewer vs returning viewer data." Which is just as valuable imo
@Dyl_P1ckl3
My parents were the same way. So I went to college, wasted $30,000, and dropped out anyway to pursue a YouTube career.
3 months after dropping out; I had my first series doing 1,000,000 views per video. That was 8 years ago and Ive maintained the success since.
You only have
Youtube is going all in on Youtube shorts.
Can you be successful without them? Sure.
But why would you put yourself at a disadvantage when your competitors and other creators are embracing this new medium.
Today’s video is an 8/10, however I’m confident it’ll jump in views and become at least a 3/10 based on comparisons to previous videos.

NOT ALL YouTube VIEWS ARE CREATED EQUAL!
And I can prove it! Below you can see 2 sets of earnings.
The video that made $1,600 got 12 MILLION VIEWS
The video that made $12,000 only got 1.5m views
Both videos were in the same niche... so what caused such a drastic difference
@vidsummit
Now I could go deeper into the flow of the video itself, and how we paced Mr Beast to gain subs exponentially throughout the video, but I think Im just getting to specific at that point haha.
So if you found any value in this, toss a follow for more video deep-dives.
In my experience the single channel creators that succeed have way more longevity compared to faceless channels… ESPECIALLY shorts.
Do whatever type of content you want to do. There is no right or wrong answer if you are genuine with what you want.
Many of you confuse faceless short-form creators with the classic long-form "YouTubers",
I'm talking about those people who dedicate their 20s to growing a single channel,
They make videos,
They stream,
They desperately wait for an event that would influence their niche and
@CobeyYOUTUBE
Yikes, if you can’t see what was wrong about that tweet; there is no point even discussing this further.
Your just too immature to understand 🤷♂️
Three toxic YouTube beliefs I held as a beginner:
- CTR and AVD = king
- Make perfect videos always
- Learn how the algorithm works
What are some beliefs you held on to for too long? 👇
@noahmorriz
Why do you have people paying ~$700 per year, and then having a currency system on the website so people have to pay extra?
I'd like to assume there is a cost reason for having a double dipped payment system like that; but imo just bake the cost into the product up front
No clue how I am just seeing this post now, but READ THIS THREAD.
The amount of creators that have approached me lately, talking about shady gurus they have worked with is getting alarming. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU VET WHO YOU WORK WITH!
The number of shady gurus coming from dropshipping and the Crypto industry trying to ride the YTA or YouTube strategist wave is absolutely mind-bending
That's why I wanted to share 8 red flags 🚩when trying to understand if an "expert" is shady.
