🦢 PTO for 10/31/2024.
Haters are camping out here saying "hair doesn’t move like that." Brother in Christ, have you ever had long hair? It absolutely works like that! It moves all over the place, getting in your face, catching in the wind, sticking to everything.
I know and understand that Mass Effect 3 is often overshadowed by its ending controversy, but honestly, that game is a tearjerker fest, and it has some of the best moments in the entire trilogy. It’s not just a conclusion—it’s a love letter to the fans.
I’m still living here, trying to understand why Varric is always picking heroes off the street or out of tavern brawls.😭 Like, does he just walk into the nearest tavern, spot someone mid-fistfight, and think, "Yep, that’s the one to save the world"?
Good morning, I miss them. Also, I really hope we get to see Solas be at peace like this someday. He’s been through so much—He deserves freedom from all of it, a chance to finally find solace.
My hope for Morrigan, please, is that she doesn’t humansplain elven culture to an elf Rook. And, for the love of all things, please don’t make an elf Rook appear all ignorant about their own culture. Inquisition didn’t handle that well, and it was frustrating -
One of the most powerful people in Thedas, just casually walking around wearing this—y’all better believe I’m modding them right out of that outfit.

"There's too much of Solas in DA4" —
This coming from a game that has been known as Dreadwolf since 2022 and has always been planned as his story since 2015. I'm not sure how anyone missed all the obvious flags, but it's like complaining about why there are forks in a kitchen.
As friends and as enemies, his card always turns into the Tower when he leaves. But if romanced, his card remains, even after he’s gone. His romance with Lavellan is so important, so profound, that it defies the usual transformation.
Gentle reminder: please don’t create weird parasocial relationships with the voice actors. While it's natural to feel a connection to the characters they bring to life, it's important to remember that voice actors are real people with their own boundaries.
Yes, I will absolutely grieve the Well of Sorrows decision and Kieran's storyline. Both were such pivotal moments in Inquisition and I’m annoyed.
#veilguardspoilers
No one talk, please—they’re having a cunt-off. Verbal jabs are being thrown left and right, and Solas just keeps getting more adorable with every head tilt.
#veilguardspoilers
I find it absolutely hilarious how tight-lipped BioWare is being about the Inquisitor. They confirmed they’re back and connected to Solas, but at the same time, It’s comical how they’re teasing us with just enough info, but not enough to give anything away.
Please, BioWare, let me use Lavellan against Solas. Let Rook pull Lavellan onto the chessboard as a strategic move, and let me watch Solas squirm. Let me watch, knowing that the person who holds his heart is now being used as a key piece in this high-stakes game.
▫️ Companion ages - early mid 20s with Taash youngest, to Emmrich who is early 50s.
▫️ Game is directed story missions with optional explorable content, MSQ is very crafted but so is side content
▫️ Can explore - hosberg wetlands, arlathan forest, crossroads (different than we
Solas calls Lavellan “Vhenan” countless times, starting from their second makeup session on the balcony, and continues to call them "heart" all the way through Trespasser. Yet, Lavellan only calls Solas "Vhenan" once in Trespasser, and that single moment carries so much weight.
Solas has a painting of the Inquisitor’s throne surrounded by candles in his meditation room, right next to the aquarium with his fish. Honestly, that guy was *definitely* crying. The entire setup is so Solas—haunted by the choices he’s made, but unable to let go.
The amount of hate and dislike PC Gamer has for BioWare and Veilguard by default has to be studied. They only write for clicks, with the intention of distorting the words of the developers and the image of a game and a team full of aspirations and hopes. It’s disgusting.

Also, I’d give half of my liver just to know what Solas’ romance entry on the worldstate says. Like, what kind of emotional gut-punch is hidden in that text? Let me IN!
Solas took Lavellan to this very specific grove in Crestwood, where the Veil is thin. With their hands clasped and gently swinging, ready to tell her everything. In that moment, he wasn’t thinking about loneliness, about breaking up, he was thinking of a life together.
Solas: "What's the old Dalish curse? May the Dread Wolf take you."
Inquisitor: "And so he did."
I need to talk about this conversation because, Solavellan didn’t have to go this hard, and yet they did. it’s like an emotional gut punch that hits on so many levels.
Is it really Solas favoritism when his character has been hinted at since Origins and slowly built upon ever since, to the point of creating an entire prophecy and weaving multiple stories around him? Veilguard is the payoff from years of careful planning.
This shot, this shot right here, is GOTY. Just look at that cinematography—the way everything is framed, the lighting, the angles, the shift in colors. It’s not just a beautiful shot; it’s loaded with meaning. it’s telling a story without a single word.

People will hate me for this, but if the Warden can reunite with Morrigan and raise a family together, then y’all better believe that I can have a satisfying ending for Solas and Lavellan. Bye.
I really need Veilguard to expand and explain why I should want to preserve and protect the Veil, because at this point, I don’t see much reason to be okay with maintaining Thedas' current status quo.
Solas killed Felassan, then turned around, joined the Inquisition, made friends, and fell in love with a Dalish. I’d say that’s a mix of character growth, divine intervention, and pure irony—he’s a clown.
Should I be worried about Solas’ sudden abhorrence at the use of blood magic? It’s a bit strange, since I remember in Inquisition he says that, when used properly, blood magic is no more evil than any other type of magic.
#veilguardspoilers
Everyone else calls Solas by his titles—the Dread Wolf, He Who Hunts Alone, the Lord of Tricksters—names that command fear and respect. But then there’s Varric, casually calling him "Chuckles," and Lavellan, calling him "Vhenan." The contrast is so iconic.
Remember, Inquisition is about faith, while “Veilguard” is centered on regret. They are very different games with distinct tones, and the main theme needs to reflect that.
Guys, this is Game of the Year — sorry to all the other games, but there’s no competition. the story, the characters, the level design, the environments —everything about this game is on another level.
Do you ever look at Solas and think about how he has a soulmate who is a mortal, someone he mourns, grieves for, and still loves deeply—someone he never expected to fall in love with, yet did? And despite everything, he still visits them in dreams and calls them his heart. I do.
It’s not just about the philosophical differences; it’s about Iron Bull’s worldview being directly challenged by someone who sees things so differently.
Trick Weekes, when writing the Solas and Iron Bull banter in Inquisition, must have known they were crafting one of the best back-and-forth, nuanced discussions of the entire game. I know the Inquisitor was sweating.
The verbal jabs between these two is something else—Solas and Rook are definitely mirrors of one another 😭. Their quick wit, the sharp exchanges, and the way they challenge each other.

Y'all know how mage Lavellans are the first to their clan, meant to eventually become Keepers, and Keepers are responsible for protecting the clan from Fen'Harel. They should know better, but instead, they fall in love with the supposed enemy.

Unpopular opinion? but I can’t imagine hating any of the DA games. They’re all so special to my heart. Yes, I have a bias, and my favorite is Inquisition, but I can’t imagine pitting them against each other or trashing one in favor of another.
To be honest, I’m very protective of Dragon Age, so I’m sorry in advance if I’m willing to throw everything under the bus for it. I’ve waited for 10 years, and no one can take this joy away from me.
Streets are saying Veilguard Act 3 is about sorrow, and it’s the strongest act yet. We are absolutely cooked. Solas is cooked, Rook is cooked, Inky is cooked, everyone’s cooked—it’s going to be a complete emotional wrecking ball.
#veilguardspoilers
I won’t discuss THAT spoiler, but I do find it hilarious that in a gameplay video clearly labeled "no spoilers," there’s actually a spoiler tucked in the first 10 seconds.
At that point, he just wanted his silly little orb back. Fast forward six months, and he’s calling Blackwall an ass, parenting a spirit, playing mental chess with a Tal-Vashoth, sassing a Tevinter mage, trading stories and experiences with a surface dwarf-
Replaying DAI from the beginning is hilarious because we meet Solas and he’s so nice and friendly on the surface, meanwhile we are worth less than nothing to him at that point in time, if we all died he would barely notice.
Some people were discussing Solas, and apparently, there’s a belief that Solas seeks to be right all the time? What? That couldn’t be further from the truth. At the end of *Trespasser*, he literally says, “I would treasure the chance to be wrong once again, my friend.” 😭
Please look at Solas pacing like a wolf in a cage, all restless and tense because he’s stuck in the Fade. And can we talk about how beautiful and smooth the camera work and cinematography are in this scene? I’m gagged.
#veilguardspoilers
I still can’t believe that young Solas is canonically called "Wolf" and the Caretaker calls him that because they are their oldest friend. It’s driving me unhinged.
#veilguardspoilers
You know what I realized? the devs mentioned that “this game will resolve the story of Solas once and for all.” That means we’re not only getting the conclusion of Solas and the Inquisitor’s story, but this is probably the last time we’ll see either of them. I want to eat GLASS.
Please, let’s take a moment to appreciate Solas’ close-ups. It’s Solas refusing the possibility of not being heard. And then there’s the way his voice lowers. The softer his tone, the sharper the edge, he remains calm even while boiling over.
