Had to take the 2 y/o to Royal Hobart Hospital last night. His mum’s a doctor, I’m a paramedic so we are familiar with the system, & were satisfied that he had croup & needed some steroids. It was 1am & he was given a cat 3 triage. He wasn’t seen for almost 4 hours. #Politas 1/2

It was a 4 hour delay to treatment for a child with airway problems. I can only imagine the anxiety of a non-medical parent. He should have been seen within 30 min. The system is broken and we must act now to improve access to healthcare for all Tasmanians #Politas

I’ve always said, if we MUST have a stadium, I’d prefer it be the option tucked around the corner on Regatta Point. It has far less impact on the city & it’s heritage. Regattas can still be held. What do you think? I think I prefer this proposal, but could be swayed #politas
