Having dozens of toggles and feature creep in general is what I constantly see causing the most burnout and stress in riggers. The workload is multiplicative, and compatability between toggles can be a NIGHTMARE. The pricing for this extra stuff should really be compounding.

I do think that new vtubers should ABSOLUTELY start with simple / cheaper models and work their way up. But I also think that Vtubing is a really weird, very specific ecosystem of freelancing because of the nature of the medium. ⤵️

Mouth shapes are SO important to portraying the character/personality of a model. They're one of my fav things to rig! You absolutely can have the best of both worlds if you're intentional with your mouth forms and make sure everything transitions smoothly!
