What's a tweet that's so canonical in your mind you make shorthand reference to it, even if people might not know what you're talking about? (I sometimes just say "uh oh y'all it's gettin' kinda hazy" expecting people to get it)
Sonicfox’s new look is so validating, having someone of their status normalizing queerness and breaking gender conventions in a space like gaming is important as hell. It would have done so much for me when I was younger and I hope it does for people who are.
Still love to abstractify the rolling back of rights as “things we disagree on” so they can do that while treating people rightfully incensed about this outcome as petulant children. I mean this kind of infantilizing is the right wing playbook of discourse in general but lmao
Hey. Furry being a kink friendly community is good.
But also if you don’t have some decorum with it you’re pushing out youth who benefit from a queer community and people who aren’t sexual/comfy around sex.
You can have the former and making some room for the latter isn’t hard

Also therapist here, and agreeing with you. There is a lot of breathing room between ignoring any risk and lecturing a client about safety as if they have no idea, ways to assess this whole thing without attacking the client.
KING SOLOMON: How about a compromise? Let’s split the child right down the middle
FASCIST: yeah sounds great
LEFTIST: what the fuck
SOLOMON: well only one of you is being nice about this so
About the “millennials vs gen z” thing.
1) we’re both being fucked over by rich old white dudes and I believe in generational solidarity
2) I uh, don’t need the approval of teenagers
BREAKING: WE WON!
After a campaign by the APWU & allied unions, the U.S. Senate has passed the Postal Service Reform Act, ending the disastrous 75-year pre-funding mandate which has been artificially bankrupting the Postal Service for decades.
@habaneroach
This movie was underappreciated as hell and I love all the cartoon tropes they threw in with a semi realistic setting, I found the combination endearing
If you’re wearing a fursuit, you better not show any gross human skin
Don’t even let me know that there’s a human in there
When you take your fursuit off there better just be muscles and bones and organs and shit
Or a smaller fursuit
Furry is a sex positive space and that’s cool and important in its own right, especially for queer folk. I also hate the “furry is inherently about sex” takes, it’s really reductive with what the fandom means for people and says ppl can’t be a part of it without being sexual
Libs in 2020: think of your marginalized friends and vote Biden pls 🥺👉👈
Marginalized people in 2021: Biden is upholding the same oppressive structures you railed against with Trump
Libs in 2021: lol shut up
When people use “get therapy” as a response to people that are fucking hurt and could use accommodations, as a way to dismiss and basically say “just go away until you don’t inconvenience me anymore”
@workingdog_
It’s such a disservice to work with clients about their stuff without acknowledging external systemic stuff like this, and the difficulties and shame it can contribute. I make sure that’s a piece of it when I work with ppl
I love this because furries wanna have a therapist that gets it without fear of judgment or lack of understanding, and also I try to avoid seeing people I know are furries because we probably run in similar circles
My husband is losing his mind because he’s looking at therapists his clinic recommended and saw this under areas of expertise.
Furry affirming.
This just in: you’re valid for being a furry.
You’ve been hit by, you’ve been struck by, you’ve been beat by, you’ve been bonked by, you’ve been beaned by, you’ve been got by, you’ve been konked by,
Millennials generalized for liking Harry Potter and doggospeak amd using cutesy language when we’re 30: lmao yeah you got us
Millennials generalized as entitled and infantile while erasing how underpaid and overworked they are: *shatters beer bottle* ok listen fucker
It sucks how often people conflate distress for whatever reason with “being harmed” and you can acknowledge that distress without it meaning that you get to shit on other people needlessly
Very cool that when people hangwring about political correctness they mean “we should be able to use slurs” and not “we shouldn’t have to be nice about the death of a person whose political actions harmed millions”
