Today is an important day in #KurdishHistory , marking the establishment of the Kurdistan state in Mahabad (unrecognised internationally). Qazi Muhammad was the president, who was later hanged by the Pahlavi dynasty for treason in 1947.

What a horrible tragedy in #Baghdad , more than 80 killed and many more injured after oxygen tanks exploded in a intensive care unit last night. The hospital had no fire protection system, allowing the flames to spread to highly flammable products.
