Seems very unfair for Mark Pearce not to be selected in the steeplechase. He's Qualified by World Ranking won the trials race and came 4th in a Diamond League this year.

Spanish athlete Ricardo Rosado helped Evans Kimtai over the line in Málaga Marathon when his legs gave out. It meant Kimtai finished 5th and stayed in the prize money bracket. The organisers later extended prize money to 6th to reward Rosado for his gesture. (5th place €500)

I don't know why Athletics Kenya are OK with the 3000m+ races taking place outside the Diamond League TV window. It means fans don't get to see the athletes race unless they are in the stadium and the athletes' sponsors don't get on TV.
