IMO, again, BBC blow ITV out of the water in their 6N coverage. Gabby Logan using niche stats like Scotland’s average pass width was enlightening. Sam Warburton is just the best about. And he makes others better around him. Johnson not always great - but works so well with SW.

That is a stunning decision by the TMO. You can clearly see the ball on the ground, under Tuilagi’s arm which is the only part which could possibly be holding the ball up. I don’t like to bag refs, but I’m at a loss as to what more evidence he could need. Feels like a robbery.

Freddie Steward often gets some stick for not being an attacking weapon. I can understand that but largely think that is due to the style of the teams he plays in. Today: 150 metres made 5 defenders beaten (looked more on a rewatch) 2 clean breaks 2 try assists. Looked class.

I like Farrell. I think he is a phenomenal player and leader for Saracens, England and the Lions. But he’s quite clearly got a long term tackle technique issue, and Saturday was a stinker. I want him at the World Cup, but anything less than 6 weeks would feel like a mick take.

If there is a tackle - one player over the ball, on their feet - is it not a tackle which creates offside lines?? If that’s the case - and I’m reasonably sure it is - then Owen Williams is clearly offside, and that is scandalous by the officials. #ITAVWAL

Just read Genge interview confirming that a family issue forced his hand in the Leicester - Bristol move and, rugby wise, he wanted to stay. All of a sudden Papa Lam’s ‘brag’ that he’s talking a huge pay cut seems rather exploitative, instead of impressive (if correct).

The two laziest arguments for attempting to talk down certain 10s: 1. He can’t tackle. A: he can, has a good success rate, solid for his position. Never shirks it. If you want someone to dominate collisions, play Underhill at 10. Ask yourself, what is your 10 there for?
