MLB official said they thought they had a “path to a deal” last night when they extended the deal but that the union has struck a different note today. The official further stated thru league would make one final best offer and hope for the best. Things Obvs have turned south.

Edward Cabrera threw three more shutout innings tonight with 3 K to 0 BB. He threw 73% of his pitches for strikes and is now up to 70% through two starts. Last season Cabrera threw just 59% of his pitches for strikes. Small sample but this is what we need to see.
