A good win for the 1st XI Cricketers yesterday as they beat the XL Club by 7 wickets. Evan M was the stand out performer scoring 60* in the chase having taken 4-6 with the ball. Joel Baines (2-48), Adnan (29) and Ashton (19*) also contributed well. Well done to them all!
A busy weekend of cricket as junior teams all played their first fixtures of the year. The U15s had the pick of the results winning by 40 runs.

A fabulous day yesterday as we hosted the Old Rossallian Festival of Cricket.
The 1st XI Boys had a comfortable win with Nate W taking 4-17 before Harry M (57*) and Luke P (43*) putting on a 102 partnership to lead them to victory.
We’re batting first against Kings Macclesfield in the first game of the cricket festival hosted by Barnard Castle. Luke and Evan are opening the batting.
Our Junior Girls cricket teams had their first games of the season against Stonyhurst on Saturday. There was one win and one loss with plenty of great performances across both games. Well done to everyone who took part!

An excellent day of Girls cricket yesterday with wins for the 1st XI, U14s, U13s and U12s. Lots of fantastic performances with Player of the Match awarded to Nyasha (U14), Isabelle (U13) and Matilda (U12)
Glorious weather this weekend for cricket fixtures against QEGS Blackburn. There were plenty of great performances with the U13s the pick of the results winning by 20 runs. The U14s tied a tightly contested fixture whilst U12s and U15s both lost in closely fought matches 🏏
Our 1st XI took part in the first round of the National T20 competition. After a very close game against LRGS, coming down to the penultimate ball of the match, they bounced back with a resounding victory against AKS.
Finally, we got some cricket on the main square as our U15s won a thriller against Hutton Grammar School. Having posted 89-4 off their 20 overs, they defended it taking 3 crucial wickets in the final over of the match. Key performances from Woody (33*) and Dan (17 & 2-5)

A great way to finish the festival with the 1st XI posting 174-5 off their 20 overs. Adnan (70) and Ashton (44). The bowlers then restricted Edinburgh Academy to 145-6 to win by 29 runs. Well done to all involved over a great 3 days of cricket.

The final result of the week came on Friday as our 1st XI girls lost in the National Cup to a strong Sedbergh side. Chasing 114, Rossall ended up on 86-4. Emma S finished 35* after Gracie took 3-10 in the first innings. A great effort!
The day was finished off with a mixed T10 game that was played in fantastic spirits.

There were also some exceptional performances from our boys’ teams. The 2nd XI beat Giggleswick’s 1st XI by 3 runs. The U15s won by 8 runs, U13s won by 12 runs & U12s also won.
A fantastic win in the Lancashire Cup for our U15s beating Stonyhurst by 56 runs. Woody scored 77 as they set a target of 146 to win. With the ball, Alex (3-12) and Dan (2-14) had the pick of the figures.
