This was just a bad sequence by Day. Even if you want to punt, at least line up and try to draw Michigan offsides to try to buy time to get a review. I think he should have gone for it either way but have to try to get a review.

Wow. I did not notice this live and haven’t seen this talked about. But Xavier Johnson’s knee did not hit the ground before the first-down mark. He was ruled short, OSU didn’t challenge and Day punted on fourth-and-1. I think Day was right to punt there. But another pivotal play.

I already find the Sonny Styles conversation tiring. He’s not going to start as a deep S. So the two choices are 1) he plays as a “nickel” against heavy personnel. But Hancock is so good as a Ni he would get 15% of the snaps. Or 2) he plays Will LB, which is the 1 open spot.
