I celebrated Henderson’s goal without any doubt it would be disallowed. After losing Van Dijk and everything else that happened it was a moment of pure relief. I’m not over it.
Despite what sections of the fanbase would have you believe, Wijnaldum would be leaving with the upmost respect of Klopp, the players and supporters. A consummate professional, that gave everything for the cause. So many crucial goals and monumental performances.
I hoped (always) but never truly expected Liverpool would win the title again. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect us to walk it. I thought we’d scrape one on the last day, as classic heart attack inducing LFC usually strike. You really have to hand it to Klopp.
If any one player separates City and Liverpool it’s De Bruyne. Unbelievable quality, his passing is so dangerous.
If Liverpool had him they win everything.
I can’t be arsed with the constant criticism when a result doesn’t go exactly to plan. No football team is perfect, but this is the closest LFC have been in my lifetime.
I wish Liverpool were in for elite attackers, rather than having to settle for second choices.
Yes second choices often work out, because Klopp can always improve players, but as shown with Thiago elite players can really elevate this side.
See plenty of supporters ripping into Mignolet ahead of his move away this summer. Yes it’s not worked as planned, but the guy was selflessly supporting the team week in week out, even after being dropped last season. Deserves some respect.

Missing out on the Champions League spots this season would leave a sizeable hole in the finances at a time when Liverpool’s rebuild needs to be backed with some serious cash.
Klopp has flaws like all managers, but this season has key mitigating factors. If he had a fully fit and functioning squad, we wouldn’t be struggling.
Anyone not willing to give a manager who delivered a title and UCL all the time in the world, is not worth listening to.
Priorities remains Premier League above everything else, then the Champions League and then the FA Cup. I don’t understand the outrage, Klopp had a strict plan in place, which he’s right to adhere to.
The weird thing about all the transfer talk, is that Liverpool supporters aren’t even asking for the world. They’ve long accepted Havertz, Sancho etc aren’t viable. However they want to strengthen to help win the league once more. I don’t think that’s unreasonable.
Lessons I hope are learnt.
Don’t break the Van Dijk and Gomez partnership.
Don’t play those three midfielders together again.
Play players who are on form.
Make substitutions earlier.
Liverpool have absolutely nothing to lose starting Elliott in the 8. The midfield that started yesterday is only offering defensive solidity when they’re on it, which they certainly weren’t yesterday.
Let Fabinho / Henderson rotate at 6 and bring Keita in whilst Thiago is out.
If Tchouameni happens it’s massive for us. Fabinho needs a similar profile player for rotation and an eventual successor.
Keita, Thiago, Elliott, Jones and Henderson will rotate in the 8’s, with Tchouameni also capable of playing there.
Nunez is a far more intelligent and selfless player than he’s given credit. Yes he was raw last season, but his all round game is excellent. We look far better when he’s on the pitch.
Liverpool miss Wijnaldum. We can spin it however we want and I was ready to, but it’s fairly obvious. Not just his availability, but his consistency in defensive areas. Yes at times he had flaws with the ball, but without he was always sharp, intelligent and crucially damn good.
No matter what Liverpool do between now and the end of Klopp’s reign. They have to start over hauling the squad and moving out injury prone players. The injury list is pretty ridiculous at this point.
Still furious. I’ll get over the result eventually, but not Everton’s approach to the game. Two horrific, career threatening challenges. There is the heat of the Derby no doubt, but those challenges struck me as pre meditated.
FSG deserve credit for turning Liverpool around, even with their cack handed attempt at forming an ESL.
But Jurgen Klopp has been the catalyst to turn their ownership into the current success it is.
Words on why the owners need to value him more ⬇️
Tonight was an advert for why supporters have to be in the ground. Football is soulless without it, almost hollow. That Anfield crowd was sensational and clearly made a difference.
Pandemic football. Spending countless more millions to maintain a bench full of 40 million pound players, so you can maintain fitness and rotate freely.
Guardiola may have been the quickest to figure out "pandemic football" and it means, for the first time while they've been in England, Klopp has to figure out a new way to play City at the wrong time
Piece:
Mac Allister isn’t just the signing of the season, he’s quickly becoming transformative on an Allison, Van Dijk and Salah level. Especially considering what happened last season.
World class player, who deserves all the plaudits that are finally arriving.
Liverpool are technically quite a poor side now, the passing is so sloppy. It’s either get it wide and swing in a hopeful cross or play it long and hope an attacker can do something special.
It is remarkable that Liverpool have created a system that not only nullifies it’s greatest creator (Trent), but also it’s greatest attacker (Mo). No matter the rest of this seasons mistakes, this is the greatest.
And yes there are variables, but the system remaind broken.
Die Hard is a film set on Christmas Eve. John McClane is travelling home for Christmas. They’re having an Office Christmas party at the Nakatomi Plaza. John famously writes ‘Now I have a machine gun. Ho-ho-ho’ on one of the henchmen’s t-shirts.
It’s a fucking Christmas film!!!
🚨 Michael Edwards expected to step down as Liverpool sporting director after this season. Nothing finalised but contract up in summer &

aware of intention. No other clubs involved. Assistant Julian Ward already increasingly influential

James Milner isn’t the same player that joined the club. It’s extremely rare for an older player to develop an understanding of a new position, but hats off. Been a pivotal squad player and stepped up as a captain on the pitch.
Liverpool may end up on 97 points, with just 1 defeat all season and not win the league. I know supporters will look back to certain games and bemoan choices and chances missed, but we’ve had an unbelievable season and yet may come up short. It’s heartbreaking to be honest.
Salah is the best player in the world, just remember that when you go around questioning why he might want to earn a certain wage, even if in part it’s driven by his agent.
Didn’t hear the same outcry when Henderson’s agent was forcing the clubs hand last summer.
Liverpool sign great players. Nearly all have proven to be successes in the Klopp/Edwards era, and those that haven’t have mitigating factors (injuries).
All we’re asking for is a couple more to give us a greater chance of success. How has that become controversial?
Liverpool can comfortably afford Bellingham and whoever else they need. Just because they refuse to pay for these players, doesn’t mean they can’t afford them.
The Chiesa signing is a real boost, but did briefly mask over what has been a poor window for incomings.
I respect Zubimendi was the key target, but to not have an alternative is a major concern. Who is available next summer, that isn’t available this?
If Henderson were to leave, we’d have
Fabinho
Mac Allister
Szoboszlai
Thiago
Jones
Bajcetic
Elliott
With the clear intentions of adding Lavia. Now I know that’s a fairly young core, but I’d take that over the tiredness we had last season.
Liverpool seem desperate to make it harder than it needs to be.
We always seem one signing short and yes last season was close to perfection, but we still fell short.
I’m not sure we’ve done enough to make the difference, especially given the injuries.
Hoever and Brewster this season.
Van Den Berg and Curtis Jones next season.
If we integrate those four and they effectively replace Clyne, Lovren, Lallana and Sturridge we’ve been very smart.
Jürgen Klopp’s net spend is roughly £75 million since he took over. £15 million a season. The man has worked absolutely wonders, like nobody else could.
Made me a bit sad watching this, because it might well be correct. Not ever obviously, but under Klopp.
For a combination of reasons, firstly it’s very rare that many players peak at once. But that system was flawless at the time & we’ve done everything to complicate it since.
I’m sure some will disagree, but it’s good that Klopp doesn’t have his go to guys in midfield anymore.
Jürgen is wonderful at developing players, yet he became too reliant on ageing players unable to follow out his instructions.
This is the reset everyone needed.
I know it won’t happen, but I’d love Liverpool supporters to just come out and back Karius. We used to fight for our players, now it feels like we’re happy for them to be thrown under the nearest bus.

2019 is the year that pop culture dreams come true.
Mane was actively declining. You can debate whether Liverpool replaced him with the right player, but it was time for him to go. Liverpool do miss his relentlessness, but on the ball he was a shadow of the player he once was.
I know Liverpool win the hard way, lately they’ve lost the hard way too. But for once can it be a routine win on Saturday? I don’t expect it to be comfortable, but I hope we aren’t in a situation where we need a miracle.
