A year ago, I witnessed a lineman get electrocuted because of lack of proper safety equipments. Today, I witnessed a lineman being lifted up with the help of this carrier to fix some wiring. How such improvements and efforts often go unnoticed. Kudos to Dept of Power Nagaland!

Too many kids driving recklessly in Dimapur. On my way to work, a car hit the back of my car in the busiest intersection of town. I could manoeuvre through traffic w/o hitting the vehicle infront of me, imagine how close this kid was driving behind me. A 19 y/o in school uniform.

It takes 10 people 3 days to segregate 4000kgs of Solidwaste. Cities like Dimapur and Kohima generate about 80-100 Tonnes of waste/day which makes it utterly IMPOSSIBLE for the sanitary workers employed to segregate it everyday. SEGREGATION AT SOURCE by citizens is that important

Just witnessed two police cars chasing and arresting a runaway who was riding a Scooty. Hats off to the Nagaland Police driver for knocking down the two-wheeler. I’ve never seen that level of precision in knocking smth over but not hurting anyone in the process. Mad Skills!!!

A responsible tourist takes waste generated by them back with them after treks or camping in rural tourist destinations. Villages should not be pressured to handle waste NOT generated by them. A sensible local tour guide should also ensure that the waste leaves with the visitor.

The familiar scene of men on top of the sumos brings flashbacks of my numerous trips to-fro Phek. Some fond memories of conversations with the locals as we patiently waited for the roads to clear(landslides)& some not so fond ones of drivers playing the “Who will be first?” Game.

As a recently recovered dengue patient, some tips to treat yourself at home along with the prescribed meds. 1. Fluids is the answer! Every 30-40 mins a glass of fresh juice (I had pomegranate and beetroot) really does wonders to keep you hydrated and keep hb levels enriched! 1/3
