They "learned" this lesson in 2017. Folks... there are no lessons. There's nothing to learn about winning and playoff hockey. There's just good/bad teams, good/bad decisions, and luck. That's it.

Needless penalty swung momentum against a Jets team that has the talent and depth to chase from behind. Draisaitl 2-1-3 and McDavid 0-3-3 were very good. Kassian effective with increased minutes (16:14) Brutal learning lesson.

Just as an example of this kind of thing. Hamonic's trade request went public in late Fall 2015. He wasn't traded until Summer 2017. *The Oilers have no reason to rush this*

Jesse Puljujarvi has made it clear to the Edmonton Oilers he wants to be traded. He wants a fresh start to his young NHL career. It’s believed the Oilers are willing to accommodate, but won’t give him away and intend on being patient in finding a right fit.
