Debate is sometimes necessary to influence change. If you ignore it or avoid it, isnt that being complicit?
Now if its meaningless argument, I agree avoid it.
@EnterDaDome
GKMC is still a widely misunderstood masterpiece. Most only remember it for then ”Pour up drank song” but did not truly listen to it all the way through as a whole body of work. Its my personal favorite of all time. To Pimp A Butterfly will take many years to unpack.
@blxckoflagos
No huge regrets but start working on yourself now. Marriage is a blessing and you want to bring your best self into it. Start following Christ, get your finances in order. You are supposed to be the head of the family so act like it. Choose to submit to one another.

Yes. There are some hard headed people that just want to feel right instead of truly growing or learning from someones counter point.

Its not the same. IT & Cybersecurity knowledge is easier to obtain via various non-traditional pathways especially when compared to medicine. Having degree requirements isnt really ensuring higher quality candidates or higher standards of hiring.
@mymixtapez
This man started off with “I didnt want a hand out” and proceeded to tell an in depth story of how he asked Kobe specifically for a hand out.
@Melo_Malebo
When I stopped drinking and smoking, I stopped getting invited to 90% of gatherings. It made me realize most of those friendships were trauma bonding situationships.
@ccieby30
Certifications are only as good as the education you received to prepare for them. Same with degrees. If the focus is too much on the credential the skills get missed. Its really skills that pay the bills. Yet creds can often be used as a glass ceiling.
@_JohnHammond
They might as well ban the use of Google Search and other search engines that could “aid in the automation of researching” while they are at it. Hack The Box has a great cert called CPTS that doesn’t limit learners at all.

You could say the same thing about any IT/Cybersecurity certification. It takes dedication and perseverance to pass one. Same with home lab projects, online hacking labs and any technical project they work on for fun. Plus degrees are very expensive, its pay to win.
@MikeHuntSmel
@crash0ver1d3

Lets pretend as a whole companies keep raising degree requirements and most roles require Masters or Phd Degrees. The industry becomes way less accessible and unnecessarily expensive to break into for the same knowledge that can be obtained through other means. Gate keeping.

Give us a pair of smart glasses. Apple Vision Air. They could use the awesome compute we have in our pockets with the iPhone.

Trading during the covid bubble really was like that. Remember Doge coin? It was literally like a video game lol. I remember my wife and I sitting on the couch watching the numbers sky rocket like we were watching sports. Crazy times.
@rbhichher
played this video game to get good at VIM. In most cases the text editor choice is based on personal preference. If you are into pentesting its good to know cause its native to most linux systems. Know as many editors as you can :)
@bentossell
Too expensive. I love using it but at that price point there should be some guarantee of near 100% factual accuracy and code it writes works consistently without much need for human troubleshooting. Knock the price down to $15 or $20. Where are these prices shown?
@MikeHuntSmel
@crash0ver1d3
@strandjs
So are you saying you are to good to work alongside individuals who may have the same abilities and knowledge as you but not the same credentials?
@GabrielJarrett2
This requires further investigation. Carowinds security was way to lax and there was absolutely too many people there tonight. My wife and I felt it was chaotic and heard several people discussing “gang fights” and shooting. People were running for their lives at around 10pm.
@chinesegon
This is a challenging situation for someone to be in. What if this person planning to leave the company is an insider threat and leaking trade secrets to the competitor? They could also just be trying to use offers to have some leverage to ask for a raise.
I need more context
@DanteDoomer
@Cade_Onder
Clout, extortion, greed and profit are some of the motives. When a hack like this happens cyber criminals will try to profit off selling what they stole on a web-based black market. Theyll also try to get the victim (rockstar and take two) to pay a ransom.
@strandjs
My lesson from this is simply dont multitask. One task at a time to the absolute best of your ability with all your focus. Use your computer to your advantage to track tasks that way you dont have to force yourself to balance so many tasks simultaneously.
@hakluke
Research a path and stick to it. It can be tempting to buy a whole bunch of subscriptions, books and courses then never finish any. Find good affordable training resources and complete them 100%. Make notes, a blog and your resume as you learn.
@SpaceX
@Starlink
You are launching rockets into space carrying satellites that provide high speed internet connection. These same rockets autonomously land on an automated boat that somehow knows exactly where the rocket will land. Wild and amazing.

Each of them should get married and then move in together. Long distance is really hard. My wife and I did it before we were married for 2 years and had so many avoidable challenges. Just take the steps and be together by any means. ❤️
@Sentdex
Idk. YouTube is exciting especially if you want to teach people. Theres no gatekeeping, politics and credentialism. You just teach what you love and post. Its a dream.
This is a great learning experience for anyone in IT, Cybersecurity or those trying to break in to the field. It will give you a new approach to discovering what services may be running in a network environment. It helped me think differently about enumeration.
@brysonbort
Im in security and I can say help desk roles can actually be more hectic & stressful than security roles. Especially if you work at an MSP.
@lexfridman
Same. I used to feel like something was wrong with me because I wouldnt pick up on concepts quickly and I had so many questions, then realized I was just seeking for a much deeper level of understanding. Deep enough that I could actually make the info meaningful and explainable.
@borzoimcgee
@lighttmylove
I agree. Ive been in some debates before where it was heated and neither of us agreed but later on I realized I learned quite a lot from the debate. I try to always consider the otherside and be open to having my mind changed.
@SkillsLevel
One day you look down at a dirty puddle and something deep inside you whispers “This is your calling. You are meant to change the way the world cleans up puddles.”
In a discussion I was having with my students the other day I came to the personal conclusion that its not in your best interest as a technologist to claim to be an expert. Its too much pressure to act like you know everything. See more in thread.

Agreed. Most people don't realize how tall that really is. They were even calling Steve Nash "little guy" and he is 6'3. NBA players truly are giants.
