On the night of the presidential election, the very moment the Democrat is announced winner, the electricity needs to be shut off to the White House. The nation cannot, under any circumstances, let the paper shredders start.

Donald Trump’s lawyer just argued in front of a Federal court that it would be lawful for President Biden to order SEAL Team 6 to assassinate Trump. Did they think this through?

To extend Viktor Frankl's idea: Freedom can't long exist in a society without responsibility, so to balance out the Statue of Liberty on the east coast, let's add a Statue of Responsibility on the west coast. And to Ellis Island's counterpart, Alcatraz, a fitting transformation.

@jsrailton I’m open to being wrong, but I’d still like to believe that US intelligence is the most powerful actor in detecting and understanding short-term action anywhere in the world.

@realDonaldTrump Since you took office, GDP has grown by $2.63 Trillion. National debt, meanwhile, has grown by $2.04 Trillion. So for every $100 of economic growth under your leadership, Americans have borrowed $78.

Trillion dollar deficit. Another $250BB in increased spending. Tax reductions that don’t pay for themselves. You are all borrowing from your kids. And you’re letting the government do it. Bread & circuses, countrymen, let the festivities continue!

Here’s my final prediction, same as I made last year. Biden will win. He’ll win big, by margins that surprise. And that affirm that, while America is imperfect & has growing to do... America was never a loser. That Americans aren’t losers. And they won’t be led by one.

@JoyceWhiteVance I was one of the first people in the air after 9/11 & will be so again on Tues right after the mourning period. Americans are the softest targets in the world. We can't begin to imagine the carnage coming our way as Iranian cells activate worldwide. Safe? We're in real trouble.

@WalshFreedom The important truth here is how attractive authoritarian certitude is to the immature conservative brain, which sees threats everywhere. What feels like moral strength eases their terror. OTOH, most mature adults see it’s just faux bravado from a similarly terrified narcissist.

The world is too complex for probably a full 90% of those in the White House, and 70% of those at the Fed. They are drowning but don’t know it. We desperately need more complex leaders. The first thing complexity brings? Deep humility about one’s knowledge & certainty.

Pinning: Two recent essays arguing that populism is evidence of tribal psychology & that US-led "world state" is irresilient with US cycle of dominance ending & 20 year disruptive adjustment ahead.

Had a friend ask me about bitcoin last week, and I called him and did a 20-minute download on the what and why of BTC that I wish I had recorded. If you'd be interested I could try to do a rehash and publish it.
