Our Wrestling Coach and SS teacher, Joe Amadeo was hit by a car jogging on spring break in Palm Springs. 5 hour surgery and in ICU. Asking for prayers for Coach!

My guess is if a study was done on O-Linemen 10 years after HS, you would find the most successful players on your team. They are selfless, humble, great teammates, grinders, and always have that blue collar mentality. It takes a special young man to be an O-Lineman!

Can’t grip my mind around the damage in our town and sports complex. We have lost press box, bleachers, dugout, equipment sheds, trees, fences. Homes and vehicles damaged. We will strap up and make a plan to rebuild. But man, I may need a couple hours to process!

In 5 years we have had Baxter Bolts who were a PWO- OL at Iowa State, a QB who started in the bowl game at Iowa Western, a starting corner at Simpson, and a current OL - offer from Wayne St and a RB looking at Central and Loras. 8 man kids get recruited! 8 Man coaches share back!

Just drove by this? And people wonder why teachers are bailing from the profession. Starting teacher salaries can be as low as 37k. Lots of ways to show you value educators, but a competitive wage would be a great start. ⁦ @FixingEducation ⁩

After watching the ISU targeting calls. I now know that was also targeting on Kyler Murray. Where is the consistency and who is holding the officials accountable?? Why do they not have to answer publicly like coaches and players?

Freshman Rory Heer set a new Baxter Bolt FB Rushing/Receiving game total record Friday with 331 yards. He added 6 TD's and 48 total points. 1st year playing football at any level. Talk about a big ceiling! Coachable kid with great teammates.

Why small schools are what Iowa is about , no matter what funding and politicians think! In Cedar Rapids to watch football players compete at state speech and then go to Sully to watch them compete in basketball! Be involved and have many experiences. Baxter Bolts!

Baxter CSD and our football program are honoring the 20th anniversary of 9/11 this Friday. We are asking that all community members who have served in the military or first responders share in a moment of silence before the game. Admission is free for all who served!
