This is an issue of competency on the most basic level 1. Escape as soon as you recognize you're in the path. 2. Escape away from the path, not across it. Failure may result in death. All chasers need to understand this before they ever take to the road.

Yikes. A pretty large home along N 216th St in Elkhorn, Nebraska was partially swept off its foundation, with most debris remaining on it. Only the walkout basement remains.

The North Bend EF2 was a top tier tornado but was overshadowed by the Spalding wedge from the same day. This photo was taken by Cody Wayne Seeley, one of the only chasers on the front (more beautiful) side of this tornado.

I am confident the lights circling around the tornado seen in multiple videos are car headlights. Tornadoes absolutely contain winds strong enough to loft and sustain vehicles in the air. No other light sources people have speculated, like a drone, make sense.

1 year ago I witnessed a historic EF4 near Winterset Iowa. I was filming for the first 10 minutes of its life, during its most photogenic and powerful form. This tornado took the lives of 6, including two children.
