I'm not going to punch down on you, but I fully disagree. Tales games are far from button mashers if you've played them. Majority of the series is also strategic too. Not sure if you're engagement farming since the game has changed but here is some Ludger for the soul.
@P4TEDDI3
@SweisSenpai
That's the point, it's more strategic and less button masher and more complex + intricate.
Tales and KH are more simplistic button mashers that are fun and can be challenging on harder difficulties, but lack the depth of Xenoblade by a country mile.
No offense to KH and Tales,
I appreciate that Vesperia (PS3 and DE) reward you for understanding the deeper mechanics. Can make notorious bosses like Kratos look like regular encounters.
Often considered the "Dante" of Tales, Ludger brought a level of complexity to Tales gameplay that may never be seen again. An incredibly fun character to play once mastered.
Xillia 2 upped the bar for a lot of archetypes in the series. Milla made a great Magic Knight, Ludger's weapon switching, and Jude here is an example of how fluid and smooth melee characters could be. Law was a step back, but hopefully the next entry gives us Jude deluxe.
Sometimes I wonder about the Yuri/Flynn dynamic and what if their conflict legitimately grew past a breaking point. Anyway, Zagi finds out those Lower Quarter boys are built different.
I FUCKING DID IT. SPIRAL PLANTIX DX FINALLY DONE AGAIN. TOOK YEARS AND I FUCKING YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOY. YALL DONT UNDERSTAND HOW STUPID THIS BOSS IS AND HOW RIDICULOUS IT IS ON UNKNOWN MODE. FUCKING YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH
Feb. 28th, 2010. This video is when I started taking Tales a bit more seriously. Wouldn't be here today not for this run. Ya'll really got stuck with me because some clown on Gamefaqs said Raven was terrible back in 08. Funny how life goes
I apologize, I was playing Arise for the last year and some change, so going back to Xillia 2 has me a bit eager. Last Ludger clip for a bit. For real this time, surely.
I think I was 13 or 14 and rented this from blockbuster because it was the only game left I didn't play. Thought it was boring until the Tower of Salvation events. Game clicked after that and I put in hundreds of runs of Symphonia alone. Tales is the best.
Today marks the 20th anniversary of Symphonia releasing stateside on the GameCube.
I credit this game a lot for introducing me to Tales (especially Abyss). I still have fond memories of playing it and easily spent at least 300+ hours on it.
Kratos and Zelos were my favorites!
Tales community coming together to try and save Tales. From translators, modders, content creators, and so on. It has been great to see folks hanging on for a series they cherish.
The first solo I ever did was a Raven solo on 360. To correct my previous tweet, it was 09, not 08. Some fool said Raven was bad so I set off to prove em wrong with a solo spamming Tempest. Video is from Sep 5, 2009. I was 18 years old. Some Tales history for ya'll
Gall - Tales of Hearts R. Easily one of the coolest characters in the series. You can control Gall and his blade independently during combos. So enemy weight, character positioning, etc becomes critically important. Very difficult to learn, but very rewarding if you do.
Ines - Tales of Hearts R. She's a powerhouse. She can use buffs to give herself iron stance, heal herself, double her crit rate, can give herself the ability to OHKO enemies, and even reduce her recovery frames. On top of massive damage output. She can actually combo too😂
Tales of Innocence R - Hermana. She was a faster Senel clone back in vanilla so they gave Hermana her own flair in R. However, I do wish she kept some kicking version of Talon Storm. Talon Blast could have been the kicking version from vanilla. Hermana craves an artes ball too.
I actually started some Keroro projects back in late 2020. The projects are long canceled, but I was going through my external and found this. Since Frogs are coming to Rays
@DaPlatinumTrim
Here to start some shit and say Reid clears your favorite Tales protags when it comes to Mystic Artes. Feel free to post your favorites though. S/O to Akira Ishida
About 11 years ago I was risking heat stroke recording Innocence R content under a hot blanket in NOLA humidity to block light out. I sometimes wonder where I'd be if I had the same dedication and discipline for other avenues of life as I do towards Tales. We came a long way.
Interesting. If true, hopefully this will be done well and build trust and more positive reception from the community. A good step forward nonetheless.
rumor: Tales of Xillia Remastered (PS5/PS4/Xbox/Switch) may have leaked by Czech/Slovak retailers (though they are all owned by one company). Cover arts not final but apparently listings have unique EANs (European Article No.) registered to Bandai Namco
I will not be around much next year due to changing circumstances, but I'll drop occasional update videos when I make progress worth reporting. The channel isn't dead but slowing. Thanks for everything.
Surprised that fans keep falling into this trick bag. Take the opportunity to explore some other series that are doing well. Play Unicorn, Trails, etc and take your mind off of Tales for a bit. Hopefully this "future" amounts to something, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
✨ Abyssal Chronicles - Tales of Series News Portal
There was no game news or updates at all at Tales of Festival 2024, with fans expressing worry about the Series' future. Right before the Festival though, Producer Tomizawa posted "the development team is working hard everyday toward the future".
Flynn's Demonic Chaos has better utility when it has less than 200 uses. Some rare tech, you can use the OVL animation to "freeze" the fight, which allows the third hitbox to load and connect. The OVL animation can be used for many characters for similar purposes.
