Was it cool when Maxine Waters was telling people to go harass conservatives wherever they saw them (her words, which she clarified later that she “absolutely did mean to harass”)?
You want to provide us the receipts of your “taking a stand” then?
Naaaahhhh.

I understand that may be a retort.
One of my reretorts would be the vaccine blunts symptoms that would otherwise lead you to stay home, so you’re out spreading more.
What if the people in power have always been this comically incompetent gaggle of petty simpletons, and it's just we're only now seeing it because of the invention of the internet?
Because, they're rrrrrrrrreally bad at this, and there's no way this is a new thing.

What he said was perfectly acceptable.
If you’d ever been stationed at a base, you’d know that people often live outside it. I. This tweet, it would have been confusing and unnecessary to make the additional specification.
@Natasha_KC1
Can say the same thing about many other deadly diseases
At the heart of your statement is a twisted form of special pleading
born out of sudden onset hypochondria
rooted in a desire for meaning and attention
and plain tribal mindlessness
(The kind that gave rise to Nazism)
@Andr3wW1l3s
@SenWhitehouse
Thought you people were supposed to know the difference between weather and climate.
But you don’t actually know anything about either.
Lots of wealth transfers lately.
From the “covid bills”
To giving up billions in weapons in Afghanistan
To handing China the Li mining infrastructure
To 10s of billions to Ukraine
Etc.
Y’all realize you’re being fleeced, right?
It's the other way around. The weapons have already been committed and delivered. This is a bill to pay off the defense industry. They are printing money to pay back the gun running and money laundering connected to the undeclared war against Russia.

When he got elected, he gave the queen of England a gift.
Recordings of his favorite speeches.
That he gave.
Himself.
Yeah.
That’s narcissistic alright :)
@pfizer
Hey, Pfizer, why don’t tell us why you decided to go with spike proteins when your own chief science officer went on at length about how current understanding teaches away from that, pretty concretely?
Account for your choice.

I think he means "useless". As in, "useless".
Now, I personally always look for the silver lining.
These people are examples of what not to be in life.
So I don't think they're useless, Adam.

Federal government can't lock you down, that was the governors. Look at the original 15 to slow the spread document from the WH. No mention of lockdowns.
Then it was Birx vs Trump, 100%.
DeSantis, however, did lock people in their homes.
@EWoodhouse7
Wouldn't such a thing be unconstitutional?
Free travel between states, rights and privileges of citizens of US, etc.?
Then again, at this point it's like...what Constitution?
@AlexBerenson
Alex, much love, you’re way off base on this one.
Twitter messages aren’t the right place to try to convince you otherwise, but I hope your conversations outside lead you to reconsider.

I had something similar with my family, but in the 2017/2018 flu season.
It sucked, but no one thought much of it.
They certainly didn’t lose their minds and demand societal upheaval.
People were just like…huh….
@bengrossbg
Compare that to Europe, where they’re far more likely to be done when the people are home.
This has been studied.
It’s because Americans have guns.
Oh, and “only 7%”. A 1 in 20 chance of violence and people should just be “okay” with that?
You’re disconnected.

The fact you have to both mis-characterize the scope and scale of the infringements, as well as what the Justice wrote (did you bother reading its entirety or you just a soundbite kinda guy?) should give you some pause.
It won't.
But it should.

In US, 54% of Counties had 0 murders. 2% of counties had 51% of murders.
Calling this an American (US) problem obscures the very specific and concentrated nature of murder in the US, and highlights the fact that people are easily swayed by what the TV tells them.

Indeed. For someone to try to poison the image but can't even be bothered to try to make themselves look less like a plant meant to discredit the protests?
It is sickening, it's like...at least TRY to blend in!

Pretty terrible analyses.
For instance, in several of those, lines are cherry picked by the judges from the authors who are merely stating opinions that aren't actually supported by the data they present. This is common.
Additionally, what are the sci credentials of the judges?
@thehill
The Carnegie Mellon Covidcast database is the best data we have. Mask usage is very high.
Masks don't work for these kinds of viruses. The entire infectious disease community knew this.
Seasonality. Seasonality. Seasonality.
And masker Superstition.

If only people were as conscious about this when it came to “Covid deaths”, eh?
But you raise a good point. I don’t think it’s zero we can take from this, but it certainly needs more context.
